Time to take the keys from Al Davis

tomcable

The Tuesday press conference conducted by Raiders owner Al Davis created a major stir, for a variety of reasons.

We’ve posted a couple of items about what he said, but it’s time to address whether he should be saying anything at this point during a press conference of any kind, especially if he’s going to use that platform as an opportunity to air grievances like it’s Festivus.

Our main point, for those of you who can’t or don’t want to watch the video, is that it’s time for someone to say to Davis what many of us have had to say to aging parents and grandparents when it comes to driving their car, at least as it relates to his ability to be the person to conduct a press conference.

As explained in the video, he can still run the show. But based on his two most recent press conferences (and specifically his most recent one), he shouldn’t be conducting the press conferences.
