Despite some early optimism from Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, defensive end Aaron Smith will miss the AFC Championship.

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette confirms Smith’s only chance to play again this season is if the Steelers reach the Super Bowl. Smith was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, but Smith confirmed he hasn’t participated in any team drills.

Since we don’t have much more to say on this subject, let’s hear from Hines Ward talking about facing Darrelle Revis again. Rex Ryan hasn’t said what he’ll do with Revis. If Revis covers Ward all game, it’s a sign the Jets don’t trust Revis to keep up with Mike Wallace’s speed.

Football fans deserve Revis vs. Wallace, don’t we?
