Chuck Pagano, the new master of the sound bite

Chuck Pagano AP

Plenty of you are watching PFT Live as it was meant to be watched.  You know, live.

Plenty of you are watching PFT Live on a not-live basis, taking in the entire show whenever you have the time or the opportunity.

Pletny of you are checking out the various PFT Live segments in the new top-of-page tab titled, ironically, “PFT Live segments.”

Plenty of you are merely consuming PFT Live content as we serve it up in the Rumor Mill.

Here’s one we had to serve up in the Rumor Mill, because it includes one of the greatest sound bites from a coach who wasn’t a head coach.  He’s new Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano, and we want him to be a head coach, soon.

Wonderful…Chuckie probably needs to worry more about NOT being the “DC” who oversaw the demise of the Ravens defense.

BTW…How did that work for McDermott in Philly this year?

Besides…who trashes someone in a presser where the focus is on you getting promoted…You trash Al Davis for doing that at the Hue Jackson conference, but it is alright for this guy?

At least Al Davis is a NFL legend and despite recent times at least led a franchise that won Super Bowls.

    What has Chuckie done?

B*tch about being a coach of the Raiders…Sounds like future HC to me.

Geez…At least Tom Cable took the high road after Al Davis’ tirade against him…That show more potential/class than any think Chuckie said.

You are already starting to look like Dan Patrick.

Al Davis brought up Cable to clear up all the misinformation you and your Media Clown Buddies were spreading as to why Cable was fined, you know put the FACTS out there.

As for this Pagan dude, these cats are sly using the Raiders to always get their name out there so they can extract something better from where they are at. The only ones that ever mentioned his name and Oakland were his people and the no nothing media. They kicked his rump out of Oakland after only 2 years and he has never forgot it.

The Ravens D was showed to be greatly lacking against a much better Team with Pittsburgh lighting them up, good luck Pigeon.

Master of the sound bite? This is how I see it…

The average salary of an NFL assistant coach in 2005 when Chuck Pagano was with the Oakland Raiders was $280,000! This guy has a lot of nerve to say anything about being paid with nickels! I live in the real world Mr. Pagano… I will never be able to say that I work for such a proud organization as the Oakland Raiders as a coach in the greatest sport in the world. I hope you take a long look in the mirror and realize that the opportunity you have had in life is an opportunity many of us out in the real world could only dream of. I work every single day in my profession just so that I can pay my bills on time and sometimes go to bed hungry with no extra money for food. And you have the nerve to joke about being paid nickels. I don’t find anything about that funny Mr. Pagano

What ever happened to the saying “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”.
This guy thinks he’s a wise guy or something. I don’t know what he did in Oakland, but it obviously wasn’t much or he’d still be there. Take a hike Punksagano.

Raiders should realize that Al Davis is just as bad as Jerry Jones and Dan Snyder when it comes to owners who are TOO involved with their teams….Coaches coach, players play and owners pay, ENOUGH SAID. Sit in your damn heated club seats, sip your wine, and watch the game and dont interfere.

Plenty of us aren’t ever watching Live segments at all because NFL Network is the source for all your material.

This guy wants some attention. If he really was that good with the raiders, Al davis would have promoted him back then.
