Two days before the biggest game of his career, Bears quarerback Jay Cutler still hasn’t made believers out of his hometown.
One article in the Chicago Sun-Times Thursday said the Bears’ win over Seattle didn’t mean much: “All Cutler proved last week was that a mid-sized moment wasn’t too big for him.”
There’s no argument that Rodgers is playing at a higher level than Cutler, but people are selling Cutler short.
Rodgers and Cutler are two of the most physically talented quarterbacks in football. Cutler’s tendency to throw the low-percentage throw scares Bears fans, but his ability to complete the low-percentage throw should scare Packers fans too.
For Friday’s NBCSports.com column, I looked at Cutler’s wandering career journey and wondered if he’s ready to crash the Packers’ coronation on Sunday. 51 hours and counting to go.
