I'm really "torn" on this (no pun intended.)

Cutler was the most sacked qb in the league this year and never missed a start. That's not an easy feat, nor something to be proud of.

For his sake I hope he has some serious knee damage. That should shut some of the critics up, becauyse if the docs say he can't go back in that's the end of that.

It never ceases to amaze me how many "fans" have to resort to vulgar and juvenile language to express their opinion on a subject.

I always told my children that people who had to use vulgarity did so because they didn't have the intelligence to figure out how to express themselves in English. That REALLY applies here.

Grow up and drop the use of female body parts and functions to comment or state your age and we'll understand.

You know how many injured players there are on the Packers roster? And you still lost to that team? The Bears have been a fluke this whole year, barely winning easy games and GB finally assembled a healthy team that has gelled together.

You had one main injured player with 2 others on IR. GB had 4 starters on IR BEFORE the game, plus 11 others. Don't even try the "GB only won because we lost a player" card.

I have a problem with Cutler’s poor play in the 1st half. I have a problem with Collins being 2nd string after an unbelievably bad performance in his one game against Carolina. There are several other questionable coaching decisions I have a problem with. But I have no problem with Cutler’s toughness. Billy Volek had to finish that 2007 Divisional game against the Colts after Rivers got hurt. Anyone calling Cutler a Wuss is an idiot. We have the worst offensive line in the NFL and he took 52 sacks and countless hurries and hits and still brought us to the NFC Championship game. Thank you Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears for a great season. You far exceeded my expectations. Quite honestly we lost to a better team.

The Bears' defense got them to the championship game, not Jay Cutler. They were in that game in spite of him.

Peyton Manning played part of the 06 AFCCG with a sprained ligament and WITHOUT a thumbnail on his throwing hand. And WON the game, by completing the largest comeback in AFCCG Game history. Said afterward, NO ONE was gonna make him come out.

I have no idea how bad Cutler was/is hurt but, he didn't look like he made much of an effort to convince anyone to let him back in.

"He walked into the huddle, I could see his knee," Kreutz said. "When you tear a ligament it feels like there is nothing there. It's like it's wobbling and it gives out on you. If you don't have an MCL injury or whatever he has, then you don't understand."

This from Olin Kreutz, the longtime lockerroom leader and someone who would have called Cutler out in a second if he thought Cutler quit on his team.

But hey, why let firsthand accounts get in the way, right computer tough guys?

Cutler was not playing well when in the game. I thought Hanie did a decent job coming in cold for the Cutler/Collins duo. He threw interceptions, but threw a touchdown and led some nice drives to keep it interesting. I am not a bears fan by any means. Cutler complains a lot and likes to be the victim. After all Cutler thought Ndamukong Suh should have been suspended back in week 13 for pushing him from behind when he was clearly a runner at the time. My point is some QB's do not have the moxy to lead in playoff games against tough teams when it counts. It has nothing to do with his durability or whether or not he is "a tough guy". Cutler will never be an Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady.

The differences between legends and regular players are shown in games like today.

Jay Cutler stood around and paced on the sidelines while he also spent time on a stationary bike to determine if his knee would hold up.

Jack Youngblood said screw it and played throughout the playoffs one season with a broken leg.

One of them is a Hall of Famer.

Not that I love having to defend Cutler but the guy was getting his butt kicked behind the bears line for the first half of the season and hung in there. I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt but his notoriously lousy attitude is what makes him a target for some.

oxycode says:
Peckers barely beat us with our 3rd string qb! If your qb was out you’d have lost. We lose ours for a full half and all you muster is a 7 point win?
You will lose to the Steelers and embarrass the NFC. You don’t belong in the Super Bowl.

that may be true, except your 3rd string qb played better than your starting qb. what does that tell you about your starting qb?
i hope you dont think the bears would give the steelers a decent fight. the only reason i was cheering for green bay was because i didnt want to watch a 31-10 football game in 2 weeks.

I am not one for doubting a player's toughness but i will call a spade a spade. If he was hurt enough not to play, why is he standing on the sidelines? Did you see him jump around after hanie's TD pass? Im no doctor but i would imagine that a standing jumping Cutler gives you a better chance to win than either backup QB. He didn't even seem BOTHERED by the loss.

Im not saying he's not tough but i am saying hes a quitter.

Speaking of lousy prognistication, I’m here so you’re wrong.

You obviously didn't watch MattFlynn damn near beat the Patriots, did you? After that one game, I'd take Flynn over Cutler ANY day.
