Ok ....Super Bowl time.

Lets all hope for;
Pouncey to be healthy - and play in SB. It's only fair since he has been such a great addition to the Steelers team, and did wonders for the running game.

Aaron Smith to finally get on the field, albeit in a limited capacity since Ziggy is coming into his own and the D Line has stepped up BIG.

Troy getting a proper rest - 2 weeks straight so he can rest his achilles, I feel he is due for a BIG performance in this game. Since it's obvious he hasn't been able to plant his feet and really explode on the play, opponent, or ball during the past two playoff games. He has played well but not great like we know he can.

And please Def. Coor. LeBeau - you must bring a few new wrinkles to the pressure & coverage schemes. Rodgers is playing with a lot of confidence and he will be slinging the ball - with some exceptional receivers running routes. Our LB's gotta crash the pocket - and our DB's must jam and press coverage. Rodgers passes are on the money overall - and their receivers have some tough hands to make catches.

LETS GO Steelers !!!!

I’m tired of hearing about Big Ben as a big time clutch QB. This team went 3-1 without him. Any halfway competent QB can win with this team. Last year when he didn’t have an elite defense, they missed the playoffs!!

I understand winning games isn’t all about stats, but so far he’s won a SuperBowl by completing 9/23 passes for 123 yards, 0 TD’s and 2 INT’s. And now he just won an AFC championship going 10/19 for 133 yds, 0 TD’s and 2 INT’s.

Winning playoff games isn’t about having a “clutch” QB. It’s the same as it ever was. Whoever can run the ball, stop the run, and play good D wins it. Both championships games had very little to do w/ QB play…

=======================

You don't watch much football do you?

Big Ben is a huge reason for the Steelers' success. They had great running games and great defenses for years with Cowher-- but they couldn't win a SB until Ben came along. And by the way, he had 3 fantastic playoff games leading up to SB 40 and probably the most clutch performance in SB history in SB 43.

The Steelers D is great-- but they wouldn't be winning Superbowls without Roethlisberger.

Rodgers would have completed that comeback.. just so you know.

would have been difficult considering the Jets offense never got the ball back.

Gutsy call for the Steelers to throw twice on that final drive and clutch throws by Roethlisberger on both of them!

Congrats to the Steelers and Steeler Nation! We are used to playing in close games, so having that big lead was unusal and probably resulted in Steelers easing off a bit. Defense was awesome! Right off the bat, Steelers smacked the Jets in the mouth with a big running game, as Rashard ran like a bull. Jets no doubt have a great pass defense which limited Ben just like they did to Manning and Brady. But the big thing was, the couldn't stop Ben from being Ben, extending plays, etc. That is something the others can't do, and what makes Ben the winner that he is.

The Jets should have shut their mouths during the week but they couldn't. Now they are home.

But I do agree with them on one thing. THE CHAMPAGNE WAS ON ICE, BUT FOR THE STEELERS!

GO STEELERS!! Super Bowl Trophy coming right up!

hey so glad ur a jets fan all f'kn day.. must be devastating that you havent won a superbowl since Vietnam.. ur coach and players represent everything about your fan base.. A bunch of loudmouth punks who talk trash and then get beat when it matters most. You beat a NE team with an entire rookie defense who will now be a year older and the pats have probably the best draft selections in years.. so basically your team didnt win the division, the conference, or the superbowl this year.. congrats on accomplishing nothing... can not wait to watch this team fall on their face next year

Pouncey going down is what gave the Jets a chance. This game would have been a blow out if not for that, The guy filling in for him was a sift right to Ben and he could not open holes for Mendenhall, plus the two bad snaps.
My hats off to the Jets though as they are a good team and entertaining to watch. But up till yesterday I was enjoyed listening to Ryan as I felt he is a real players coach. That was until his press conference. This toe lapper is a poor loser and would give no credit to the better team on Sunday. Go Steelers.

way to come up big LT-mouth!

9 carries for 16 yards, thats some serious big-game production for a man destined to get to and win the big one. FRAUD!
Sexy Rexy, you were bamboozled into sigining this guy who diappeared in the 2nd half of the year, and pulled a Bart SCott in the most important game of his career...
Maybe the not-Yets felt too much pressure to live up to the trumped up billing their Coach has been spewing all year long!!!
Dem some big shoes to fill REx!

"Slow start to the quarterback play killed the jets today. So much for sanchise. I look for the jets to go after another quarterback in this years draft, may I say cam newton? Remind a little of big Ben on the physical side, something sanchise don’t quite have! Better luck next year coach Ryan!!"

New QB?? It's his 2nd year! He made the AFC Championship in both years. Why don't ya set your expectations a little higher? Oh and what about the 100 missed Jets tackles? Should they replace the defense too? You give Fan Opinion a bad name.

I know atleast one Jets fan that won’t be crying tonight, I think he was wearing a Sanchez jersey on a sled.

Dude, seriously... That is just insensitive and flat out moronic. Making a joke at someone who died while celebrating a Jets victory last week. You should be ashamed!

--------------------------------------------------

keep telling yourself that, less and less people are believing it now. Ay=t least people who watch football. I will say, he didnt fo much the 1st time we beat the seahawks. But, he LED us down the field to beat Arizona, and a clock mgr qb would have just handed off tonight on 3rd and 4. Instead, he is CLUTCH AGAIN, when we needed him. You can hate the steelers, and Big Ben all you want, but the guy is a winner PERIOD! Funny, all the GREAT qbs will be watching Ben play AGAIN! love it!

Didn't build up Sanchez to make the Steelers look better; not my style. Besides, the Steelers looked far better in the first half when Sanchez and the Jets were scoreless. As always, said what I think: Despite his relative inexperience, Sanchez was admirably fearless in managing that comeback. And his pass to Holmes, taking advantage of Ike's stumble, was beautifully executed.

Yes, I could have just rubbed in their loss, but that's not my style, either. Win or lose, I try to be a good sport. Not surprised you don't get it.

As a Steeler fan, I would like to tip my hat to the Jets for a great game and effort. Beating the Patriots and Colts is something to be proud of, and is probably why the Steelers are playing int the Super Bowl.
Now it's time to go to Dallas and win a Super Bowl on
the Cowboys home turf!

Deb:
Major props to Mark Sanchez. The guy doesn’t quit and has a lot of poise under pressure. Thought he was extremely impressive and had some nice throws.
---------------------------------------------------------
Were we watching the same game?

No need to build Sanchez up to make the Steelers win look better.Take away a couple of good throws and Sanchez looked awful, as always; under-throwing, over-throwing, he looks positively lost out there.

Roethlisberger in the second half didn't look any better than Brady or Manning in their games, thank God he did enough in the first half to win. Give him credit though for hitting that first down when he HAD to have it.

I'll say this about him: there isn't a better quarterback in the league at succeeding when he's flushed out of the pocket, and dude made a couple of runs that Tom Brady only WISHED he could make. However, other QBs are good enough to not GET flushed out of the pocket, or need to run with the ball.

Plus, he's a recovering sexual predator.

Other than that, he's okay.
