The Jets built a heck of a team last year, and then managed to build another, different good team, this year. Can they do it three years in a row? Difficult to say, especially since no one knows what the market will look like, with no labor agreement yet in place.

Meanwhile teams like the Patriots build up a core of players to keep the team good for many years. Next year they will certainly be good, and it is almost certain they will be better than they were this year.

The Jets got the best of them this year. However, the Jets will look a lot different next year, and probably not for the better. New England will look a lot like they did this year, only those young players will have another year under their belts working together.

NE has a good core of young players. Their drafts over the past two years have been excellent. This team was very much in building mode, and yet still ended up with the best regular season record in the league.

Oh, and add to that they have six picks in the first three rounds next year, with three of those picks being in the top 33. They have the ability to own this draft. Hopefully we will have a labor agreement by then. A rookie salary scale would be a great thing to have for the Patriots, who will be able to move around the draft board anywhere they like, to get any player they want.

NE may not have gotten to the SB this year, but they will definitely be in the running for the next three to four years, at least. Here in NE we would love for Brady to get five rings. Hopefully he will, and go down in history as the best QB to ever play the game, no debate needed!

With limited draft picks & a recent poor history of drafting, who cares about your core? Your core doesn’t win superbowls. Teams who do their talking ON the field do, not criminals off it.

Are you kidding me?? That Jets W in New England was one of the biggest wins in franchise history. It was THE most watched divisional game in AFC playoff history. The whole world watched the Jets annihilate the Pats, and we still get no respect. Just hate and jealousy from the rest of the league and it’s fans. I can’t wait to see what Tanny pulls off this offseason. Whatever he does I know there’s gonna be some serious hate that follows, followed by trash talk by us, and play that backs it up. Bottom line is, since your squad lost yesterday, since the Jets won’t be playing in the Super Bowl and definitely won’t be Super Bowl champs, your win over NE really means nothing. Squat. As meaningful as 45-3. Irrelevant in the big picture. Think Pats fans give a damn about beating your sorry squad in the 2006 playoffs? Or beating Jax and SD to make it to SB 42? Not a chance.

History will judge the 2010 Jets as an embarrassing affront to sportsmanship, class and humility. Other than that, in 5-10 years, there will be nothing else to remember this team by.

In case you hadn’t noticed, there are no 2nd place trophies in sports. Where are the accolades for losing a title game 2 years in a row?

In the NFL, there is 1 Champ & 31 chumps. You have joined the masses of 31 other teams. Losing a championship game & not making the playoffs equates to the same thing…FAILURE.

But, you can keep on thinking you’ve accomplished more the last 2 years than the Benglas, Lions & Browns have but, you haven’t. Whatever you need to help you sleep at night.

How did he make you better? You now have a team who barely made it to the playoffs two years in a row & now almost it’s entire core of players is about to leave via FA.

And for what? 2 Lost AFC Championship game appearances? Do you think you’ll be better next year with 1/3 of your team set to leave?

The fact of the matter is that Pats fans are disgruntled because they know the truth. You guys have done nothing but choke since the biggest choke in NFL history in ’07. And all we’ve done is get better, more respect, and reach the AFC Championship game back to back, with a young squad and a rookie coach/QB.

Congrats! It doesn’t change the fact that the Jets have acquired 2 players in 2 years of drafting with Fat Ryan as coach.

It also doesn’t change the fact that Mangini’s drafts were stellar and since Ryan came in, they have stunk. Considering Sanchez is only good half the season, in each of his first 2, there really is nothing to write home about.
