There’s a highlight from Sunday’s AFC Championship Game that has turned into a viral video, having already been uploaded to YouTube by dozens of people and viewed tens of thousands of times.
It’s a highlight involving Ben Roethlisberger and Rashard Mendenhall, but it’s not either one of their rushing touchdowns.
No, it’s simply a video entitled, “Mendenhall humps Roethlisberger.”
I have no idea why Mendenhall decided to celebrate with Roethlisberger the way he did at the end of the Steelers’ victory, and I’m not sure I want to know. But I have a feeling Mendenhall will be asked about it more than a few times at Super Bowl Media Day.

That really wasn’t that bad. Two or three short pelvic thrusts don’t necessarily indicate full-blown “humping”.
I’m sure if he really wanted to hump Roethlisberger, he’d have plenty of opportunity in the lockerroom until the media is allowed in… or if Roethlisberger wanted to hump him… or somebody else less willing.

Sorry dude it was real and noticeable. I noticed it watching the game live and thought it was funny. This type of behavior is exactly why women should not be in locker rooms in the NFL. If they are willing to hump dry hump each other on national tv (I am sure it was an inside joke) imagine the crude jokes in the locker room. There is nothing wrong with this behavior. It is the way a man’s team is full of confidence, bravado, and testosterone. To those who say this type of behavior is childish. PISS OFF!

My old Pop Warner coach used to say, “Get in that pile and hump away.” We did humping drills for hours.

I thought it was hilarious. I also doubted my eyes and had to run it back a few times. First I thought he just stumbled trying to get up, but it was no stumble. It was probably an inside joke between the team or teammates, maybe at practice Ben jokingly said “F-You” and Mendenhall said “No, I’ll f-you on national tv”…and did.

I don’t know how people view this or the booger incident as classless. I’m as big of a Steeler hater as there is, but I thought this was hilarious. On par with the booger wipe.
