Where is the news in this? The Newtons Will face tremendous scrutiny because of the the controversies that have come to light over the recent past…Duhh!
None of us know the full story. But one thing I know is La Conforas position at the NFL Network has precipitously diminished as of late. When he began at the network he appeared in the Los Angeles studio and on panels just has his predecessor, Adam Scheftor, had. But as this season went along he has appeared less and less; and when he does appear it is only via satellite. In addition the network has added Jay Glazer from Fox Sports to their insider roster who has in addition to having more sources has been more accurate in his reporting.

This is obviously an attempt by La Confora to remain relevant by bringing up a story that engenders class and stereotypical cultural backlash from ‘Joe Fan’. This is evident by this site repeating such non stories as fodder for responders to viciously throw around terms/labels that refer to African American parents as pimps and prostitutes. Furthermore this site seems to be justifying Jeff Irelands disgraceful treatment of Dez Bryant in his pre draft interview last year.

It has become painfully obvious that the sports media has learned to package, sell and monetize this cultural backlash. If you need evidence just read the comments on this site pertaining to the death of Ed Reeds brother.

The question is; Is it worth it to your bottom line? Is it word for our society?

Or even Vince Young for that matter. His passing improved over the course of the season. Yet, he obviously has a lot of progress to make though. I’m not saying he is starter potential, but if Alex Smith can see a second contract, Newton can earn one. May not be as a starter, but JaMarcus raised the bar pretty high as a bust. It would take more than a dad interfering with day to day operations of a franchise to cause that downfall.

Also, can we please move past the Ireland comment. Yes it is somewhat (barely) relevant, but its old news.
