When cornerback Champ Bailey’s Hall of Fame credentials are brought up one day, we will hear that Bailey’s 10 Pro Bowls (and counting) are the most ever at his position.

We probably won’t hear that the tenth appearance came three days before the Pro Bowl as an injury replacement for Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

It’s only fair Bailey made the team anyhow. He deserved to go after a terrific 2010 season, even if previous nods may have occasionally been on reputation more than production.

It’s odd that Asomugha is pulling out now “for medical reasons.” He was in Hawaii this week practicing with the team.

Cowboys receiver Miles Austin was another late addition to the team. He replaces DeSean Jackson, who won’t be able to play in the game.
