No charges will be filed after woman says Lions player violated her

A police report obtained by the Associated Press shows that a woman who attended a private party in a Detroit suburb early this month said a Lions player made her feel “extremely violated, disrespected and uncomfortable” by lifting up her shirt. But prosecutors have decided not to file charges.

The name of the Lions player has still not been released, nor has the name of the accuser.

Prosecutors said there is insufficient evidence to persuade a jury beyond a reasonable doubt of the player’s guilt, and so they will not go forward with the case.

Reports first surfaced that a woman in Plymouth, Michigan had accused a Lions player of inappropriate contact shortly after the regular season ended. The player told police he had no inappropriate contact with the woman.

Goodell should still be looking at this to make sure his punishments are consistent across the board….whether charges are filed or not.

    Accused of sexual assault? Check.
No charges filed for lack of evidence? Check.

We all know that equals a 4-6 game suspension.

Come on Roger, let’s see the equal punishment.

WOW, a Vikings fan talking smack about the Lions. I believe it was the Lions and a 2nd string QB that saw to it that the Vikings would finish in the basement of the north. Get used to it down there. ALSO, If the reports of their interest in Vince Young are true then be sure to get the suicide watch going early, with Minnesota winters as bad as they are, i doubt he survives ’til Spring

Sounds like she’s gonna file a civil suit. If Goodell ignores this he’ll be exposed…

First off, the “charges” were so light we never even found out who it was. There was no evidence backing up anything the girl said. Kind of like with rapistburger, but NO one ever came forward, not even the girl…. You guys forget that these NFL millionaires are targets of scamming pieces of chit that would rather do this type of stuff than step in front of a moving car for a cash settlement.

It’s amazing that the Lions player name never was revealed.
