No charges will be filed after woman says Lions player violated her

A police report obtained by the Associated Press shows that a woman who attended a private party in a Detroit suburb early this month said a Lions player made her feel “extremely violated, disrespected and uncomfortable” by lifting up her shirt. But prosecutors have decided not to file charges.

The name of the Lions player has still not been released, nor has the name of the accuser.

Prosecutors said there is insufficient evidence to persuade a jury beyond a reasonable doubt of the player’s guilt, and so they will not go forward with the case.

Reports first surfaced that a woman in Plymouth, Michigan had accused a Lions player of inappropriate contact shortly after the regular season ended. The player told police he had no inappropriate contact with the woman.
