It’s not thin…they just need to learn how to catch. There was what, 6-7 easy pick-6s dropped. There are a bunch of young guys that could step up after a year in the league under Nolan. I have no issues (other than the catching issue) with this defense. The missed tackles dropped significantly but could still use some improvement. I would rather keep Allen and cut Sapp…he was garbage. Crowder should be on his way out also and hopefully we draft a fast/smart ILB. Solai did better than expected as NT. Can’t wait to see how Edds does also.

dolfan34 – Benny Sapp is garbage. If he wasn’t getting beat (which felt like 99.9% of the time) he got the INT, and he only had 2 of those. That trade sucked. As much as fair weather fans hated Jason Allen, he did end the season with 6 INTs. That’s 3 times as much as our leader (BS). The Dolphins need Will Allen back, and they need he back badly.

Seriously dude? Jeff Ireland is getting roasted for this? Didn’t he draft Davis and Smith in the first and second round a couple of years ago? How about Chris Clemons? Jones in the 6th last year? Acquired Bennie Sapp? Bell is still decent. They even chopped Saban’s Jason Allen choice last year because he wasn’t good enough for the team.

Not sure why Jeff Ireland is getting criticized for any of this. Besides wasn’t it Parcells who was pulling the strings the last three years?
