I love all the comments to the effect that "So and so should be preparing for the game instead of wasting time on Twitter."

Sure, but it's not like with two weeks to prepare for a game it takes a lot of time to log on and type 140 characters. It isn't like a Packer or Steeler player's going, "No coach, I'd love to practice, but I gotta go write my novel today." Why, I'd be willing to bet that multiple players from both teams have watched TV, attended movies, even, (GASP!) gone out to eat in the last week.

I'll bet one or two have even strummed a guitar after getting home from practice.

Oh really “Herb” Woodley? We recently learned that your teammate Kemoeatu has contradicted the official Steelers’ line on the availability of Pouncey in the big game! The Pittsburgh facade of unity is unravelling faster than a cheap towel in a room full of cats! Now where’s your pompous pose of purported peerlessness? Yeah! Huh?!
Oh and by the way, it should be “we @ Steelers” my friend.
---------------------------------------------------

Chill out dude. Twitter, Facebook, AOL, whatever... no mere trash talk comes close to Rodgers and that stupid pro-wrestling belt dance when it comes to rubbing it into the opponent's face. (And don't give me any crap about he doesn't intend to -- it doesn't change the fact that it's a taunt.) THAT will be a rallying point for the Steelers, believe me.

If you think this story will have .0001% impact on the outcome of the game, you're a fool.

Haters from other teams can talk and judge all they want, but honestly you can't say with a straight face this team has a schism, or Arod is a jerk or w/e other dumb stuff people are spouting off on here about.

15 Players on IR. Superbowl. Where's your team?

Luckily this stupid little back and forth popped up a week out, and will be a dead issue well before game time.

I'm sure Rodgers was echoing the sentiments of more than a few people on the team- especially considering guys like Ryan Grant who HAVE stuck around all season.

But... he (Rodgers) hopefully gets now that there was nothing whatsoever to gain in bringing this stuff up right now, especially in such a public way.

All he needed to say was "yep, they're all part of the team, I'm glad they'll be with us in Dallas."

They'll "hug it out" on Thursday and that'll be it, but hopefully they understand better just how big (and desperate for a story) the media microscope is for them right now.

(and also... Go Pack! :)
