The entire working world is doing more with less. I truly hope there is a lockout for a least a year if not two so the majority of the players really feel the pain. Expiring shelve life and no income, we’ll see how much the players really are against 2 additional games then.

It’s no coincidence they started to make a move towards player safety the same year they want to add something that’s going to detract from player safety. Get everyone thinking you’re concerned, and then make the greedy move while no one’s looking.

What’s next? The 20 game season? Maybe we can call that the super-enhanced season.

Yep. Owners would bleed young players for more games, and those same guys would end up playing fewer years during their peak earning years.

If the players agree to 18 games, they better get unrestricted free agency after 3 seasons for everyone and get some of the 1st rd rookie money redirected to the players retirement fund.
