If Brett Favre would have called Rodgers to offer advice, you Favre haters would have accused him of sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong. Brett Favre can’t win no matter what he does. He’s retired. Leave the man alone.

IIRC, it was actually the Percy Harvin fumble that was recovered by the Saints and resulted in a TD run by Bush two plays later for the tie. However, it did appear that Adrian “Oven Mitts” Peterson washed his hands with butter before the game, seeing how many times he put the ball on the ground. He is the best RB the Saints had playing for them!

Bart Starr barely gets a mention when the topic of great quarterbacks comes up because he doesn’t have the guady numbers but he is the all time leader in playoff win percentage and was very accurate. He is almost one of the most decent human beings you will ever meet and ARod can do a lot worse than emulating him.

It’s obvious that Favre never mentored Rodgers because Rodgers unlike Favre is not an interception throwing machine. Rodgers is smart getting advice from Bart Starr who has more rings than ANY QB in NFL history. Rodgers will never have all the stats like Favre but before he is done he will be more like Starr having won a few championships and after all that is the only stat that really matters.

2 things… 1) Some would say it inappropriate for Favre to enter the picture. In my profession the previous “boss” would not be allowed to involve himself in my administration. 2) Rodgers can ask. Something he did with Warner and Young.

Favre is down in Mississippi trying to recuperate from the many injuries he suffered this season while trying to pull the Vikes out of the toilet. He probably didn’t offer advice to Rodgers b/c articles like this are why that happens. Tools like this site jump all over him for everything. If he’d offered advice, you would have picked it apart. If he doesn’t offer advice, you still rag on him. Why should he offer advice? Did Joe Montana advise Steve Young? Did Starr advise his replacement? Did Kurt Warner help Matt Leinart?
