and if the Packers should win come Sunday, Rodgers will have won more Superbowls than Brady without the help of Matt Walsh.

I miss the photo of the day on PFT …

It’s a good debate, Jamal Charles or Arian Foster, Rodgers or Brady. All were difference makers on the field. But like a lot of awards, sometimes it’s what was expected of you or your team going into the season vs. what actually happened. Did Brady do more with less of a WR corp than Rodgers ? Probably. But Brady had something of a running game instead of every play being on his shoulders like Rodgers. Being a Texans fan I can say that I’m fine with Jamal Charles winning the award. He was the true difference maker on that team. Yeah, Bowe lit it up for several weeks mid-season but Charles was electric. Not to take anything away from Arian Foster. He was consistently very good all year long. But KC had the #1 running offense in the NFL, Houston was 7th.

If this award takes into account the post season, then I say it’s close between Rogers and Brady. But Brady literally had one of he best seasons of all time.

From wiki: Brady’s 9:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio (36:4) would break his own single-season record of 6.25:1, which he set in 2007. No other quarterback in NFL history has had a 6:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio for a season.

I always find numbers like you listed for Rodgers’ TD-INT ratio funny. A 13:3 TD to INT ratio? That’s not a ratio, it’s just the number of touchdowns and interceptions that he’s thrown. If he threw for 15 TD’s and 3 INTS then calling it a 5:1 ratio is fine by me, buy why waste calling it a ratio when it’s really just his stats?

A ratio is just a comparison of two different things. It’s a perfectly valid use of the term.

It took Arian 97 more touches to get 149 more yards… So if you took Jamal’s 6.38 per carry times 97… Well you do the math! Jamal Charles is well deserving of this award!

what no one seems to consider is that Haley’s limiting Charles’ carries helped him to be so productive…hopefully this two-back system will help to significantly enlongate Charles’ career, as opposed to how most teams ride their star tailback too hard and provides only a year or two of stellar production before burning out
