Miles Austin laments departure of Ray Sherman

Last month, the Cowboys saw fit to interview receivers coach Ray Sherman for the head coaching job.  The guy who eventually got the job, Jason Garrett, saw fit to not keep Sherman.

We asked one of Sherman’s former players, Cowboys receiver Miles Austin, about the departure of Sherman during Thursday’s PFT Live.

Here’s what Austin had to say.

You made it sound like he was distraught over his departure. Miles said he has known him for quite some time and its tough to see him leave but he knows this is a business and he will bounce back. I’m not quite sure that means he “laments” the departure.

I agree, “laments” is too strong of a word to use here. His comments did not rise to that level.
