It has been nearly a decade since the City of New Orleans hosted a Super Bowl.

Saints quarterback and unofficial (but very effective) New Orleans ambassador Drew Brees spoke about the return of the Super Bowl to the Big Easy during his recent visit with ProFootballTalk Live.

The full interview, and all other Super Bowl week interviews, are available under the PFT Live tag.

It’s such a dirty city. Plenty of other places to have the big game.

brees was a great running back in college. he probably would be in the hall of fame as a running back if he did not force a switch to qb

Brees is better than 98% of the quarterbacks in the league. To say he is last year or that you want him to go away, you’re an idiot. He’s nothing but class. If my quarterback wasn’t named Aaron rodgers, I would love to have brees running my team.

I’ve never been to new Orleans, but to say they’re dirty is so disrespectful, considering what they went through and are STILL going through. Grow up kids! Grow up.

@emoney826: Very classy response, especially coming from someone who is not a Saints fan, but a Packers fan. We New Orleanians appreciate that kind of maturity, and I’m pulling for the Pack.

As for the rest of you, these sleazy comments are proof that no matter how classy, competent, and great a player like Brees is, there will be someone out there to try and trash him. You must be bitter Vikings fans or Falcons fans. Its amazing to me how many people aree actually ANGRY that the Saints won a Superbowl, as though we insulted your sensibilities by being so bold as to WIN and not be the doormats you think we are suppoede to be. Can you really be that invested in having someone to kick around?? Luckily, judging by the negative thumbs down on these moronic comments its obvious that people like you are in the MINORITY.

Face it: America was pulling for the Saints last year and we WON. No amount of trashing Brees or the GREAT CITY OF NEW ORLEANS will EVER change that.

New Orleans is a fantastic venue for Super Bowl games. Everything is close, great party atmosphere, Bourbon Street. Nuf said.

packers would be glad to go there and whoop the AFC, just like this year! GREEN & GOLD 34-24

I don’t blame buckeye504 for hating New Orleans, considering all the butt kickings Ohio State has taken down there.

We are all hopeful Drew and the Saints can do it again as well. I will remember the excitment of last season all my life. It was quite a ride!
