The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Monday that they have released offensive tackle Jordan Black and replaced him on the roster with center Bradley Vierling.
Black started the final nine games of the 2010 season in place of Eben Britton. Recently turned 31, Black was due a $1.1 million salary for 2011. His release is a bit surprising because Black’s salary was manageable and he has starting experience at a variety of positions.
Vierling is a former undrafted free agent from Vanderbilt. He’s getting a reserve/future contract after spending time with the Jags during the 2010 preseason.
