Reports emerged today -- and we’ve separately confirmed -- that the Falcons will be cutting safety Erik Coleman.
The move was expected to happen on Tuesday, but as of this posting Coleman continues to be listed on the team’s online roster.
Coleman, 28, joined the Falcons in 2008, and he started all games in 2008 and 2009 before being relegated to reserve status in 2010. He appeared in 12 games and he started one.
Under contract through 2011, Coleman is due to collect a base salary of $3 million next season.
