I bet the slack jawed yokal who’s job it is to change the population number sign at the border of the village of Green Bay was busy that day! No way should they have a team, it should be the LA Packers. Moving them to LA would greatly increase the NFL’s revenue and benefit all teams. And you don’t have 13 titles, you have 4. The others were pre merger, which means new league and new championship game. And I can’t wait for the day when Mike “Buffet” McCarthy decides Rodgers no longer has it, like he did with Favre, and the loyal cheeseheads give Rodgers the Favre treatment. Was Favre s suppossed to die because Buffet man and TT didn’t want him anymore?
---------------------------------------------------------------

First off, McCarthy didn't decide Favre no longer had it. Favre retired and McCarthy already had Rodgers prepared. Many Packers still supported Favre when he went to the Jets, it was when he went to the Vikings that the so called 'treatment' came out.

Secondly, let me laugh. Bwahahaha. Now that that is out the way let me tell you that The Packers will never EVER move to L.A.. In case you didn't catch that let me repeat; The Packers will NEVER ever move to L.A.. The 112,000 owners of the Packers would never allow the team to relocate. The Packers are a community-owned, non-profit franchise. So LA will never see the Pack there, which I can't manage to shed a tear over.

And, by the way we do have 13 World Championship Titles. Which, is a title just go onto the NFL network and it recognizes that the Packers hold the most World Championships at 13. No, the Packers do not have the most Superbowl Titles, but they do have the most World Championship Titles. There is no disputing that fact.

Packer fan reality check …

Oct 24, 2010 – ball pops loose as Quarless hits ground, refs mistakenly call GB TD / Shiancoe catch properly ruled Vikes TD on field, inexplicably overturned by moron on replay / NFL admits blown calls but referee gaffes allow Pack to somehow squeak by Vikes 28-24. That (plus Jets play easily their worst game of year vs. GB) allows Pack to reach 10 wins and squeak into playoffs as final seed.

Jan 9, 2011 – Eagles blow Wild Card game as NFC’s best kicker tries to play through a serious family matter , misses two easy field goals and allows GB to squeak by 21-16

Jan 15, 2011 – Falcons stupidly spy on Rodgers as GB easily wins divisional

Jan 23, 2011 – GB gets ANOTHER break as Cutler injured, but Pack has to hold off a late Bear rally led by their 3RD STRING QB (lol) to squeak by again 21-14

(SB win ok, nobody wanted to see Roethlisburger win anyway …)

Now, somebody, anybody – you too Mike – here’s your challenge: SHOW ME A LUCKIER RUN TO THE SUPER BOWL THAN THE 2010 PACKERS.

I’m not hating, just sayin’ … GB fans you’d always rather be lucky than good, and this year YOUR TEAM WAS … so knock off the dynasty bs, enjoy the good luck you had this year, and better prepare for the pendulum of fortune to swing the other way next year. (I’m thinking more Rodgers injuries and/or a Clay Matthews steroid suspension are most likely scenarios).
---------------------------------------------------------------------

You can literally pick out any run to the Superbowl and pick out plays/instances in games that were lucky and should not have happened which led to them winning the Superbwl. In pretty much every game you can pick out so called 'lucky' instances.

Now, there are blown calls in every game. If you really want to get down to it then the Packers would have won more games in the regular season if it was not for blown calls. It happens to every team it has happened to the Packers which resulted in lost games.

Falcons: This game was not luck at all. You can say all you want, but the Packers purely outplayed the Falcons on all aspects of the game. Rodgers was phenomenal and the defense broke Matty Ice's cool.

Bears: First off, Cutler getting injured was not beneficial in anyway to the Packers. The defense was familar and prepared for Cutler and The Packers were winning the game against him. The defense won that game. And with the whole 3rd string qb, the packers defense didn't know the quarterback. The Packers defense made two interceptions off of that qb. He got lucky throws agaisnt a defense that was figuring out how to play him and their running game got them back in. In no way, was that run all because of the 3rd string.

In addition, our team was by no means lucky. I mean come on, in the Superbowl we lost 2 of our best veterans on defense and offense. With all of our injured players we were still a good team throughout the season. If 16 player went on injured reserved, many of whom were key players, on a another team that team would not have done well. The Packers have never trailed by more than 7 points throughout the whole season. Our SECOND string quarterback almost beat the Patriots when Rodgers was out. The Packers forced their way through the playoffs and MADE teams create errors.

Yeah, I agree with you to a point that some luck is involved, but saying that luck is what won the Packers the Superbowl is just plain bull. The Packers are a good team and it is feasible that they could make a second run. It would be extremely difficult and I am by no means guaranteeing it, but it is definitely within the realm of possibility.

The reality check is: The Packers do have a damn good team.

Sorry, been busy ... yes claymath I do have a life! So I log back in today to find whiny Packer fans now posting up about how their team should have gone undefeated! Seriously?? Do any of you know anything about the history of the NFL before Feb. 6, 2011? And nobody has answered my earlier challenge ...

To summarize:
calloustongue whined about missed penalties, then said "Packer fans don’t whine about calls" IN THE SAME POST! = YOU FAIL

kenny, you've gone from delusional to plain ignorant, I didn't give you one game, I gave you THREE = YOU FAIL

axespray ACTUALLY compared Ryan Grant to Adrian Peterson = YOU FAIL (ALL DAY) lol

chuckyd317 at least tried to make a case, but having injuries like every team deals with and missing one FG doesn't compare to the examples I gave earlier ... also the way Flynn played against NE doesn't make Rodgers seem quite that valuable does it?

claymath52: cut + paste + canned buzzphrase even my kid could muster = FAIL ON STEROIDS

Vikingsfansbeatshimselftosleep likes to forget about the 10 missed holding calls on Matthews that game and the missed PI call on Rodgers redzone INT.

That's probably b/c Packer fans don't whine about calls as much as Viking fans, but when you have a 6-10 season, that's more embarassing than the last 49 combined, I guess a questionable blown call is all you can hold on to.

so "lucking out" means losing adrian peterson in week 1, having chad greenway go on IR, having a qb get concussed (twice), having a load of other players go on IR, have your best TE go on IR, and then having to win the last two games against double digit win teams?....

How would the minnesota vikings handle the situation the packers went through?....quit in week 1 and blame the coach and finish 0-16?

I could also make 6 excuses for why we're not undefeated this year, take away the 18 penalties and we blow out the bears, don't lose Jermichael Finley in the 1st drive against the Redskins and Clay Matthews tearing his hamstring and we beat the Redskins & Dolphins....Special Teams don't flop and we beat the Falcons in wk12, Aaron don't get a concussion and we sweep detriot and blow out the Patriots....

by the way, we had to TRAVEL to Philly, NE, NYJ, and ATL....so yeah, we totally "LUCKED" out....

Without this “win” the Packers don’t get to 10 wins, don’t slip into the playoffs.

No offense to good-natured GB fans, but even they know it: 2010 Packers = luckiest run to SB ever.

I just re-watched the GB@MIN game on DVD, it was 3-0 Vikings with 10 minutes left in the first half. Is that what you are going to brag about from this year?

Vikings fans keep talking about 2009 like it was the best season ever. Maybe it was for you. We talk about which Super bowl championship seasons we like the best, you talk about what if's, could'a beens, and should'ves.

At least you have 2009 when you almost went to the Super bowl. Oh and there is always next year.

This has to blowing Pervy's mind, what little he has left. Packers won the superbowl and he's, of course, going to talk about next year, or even more pathetically talking about last year. Now he can't rip on Packers football so he has to rip on WI, nice ad hominen attack. Good luck on your next QB, I'm sure the next Sean Salisbury is out there for ya! I'll be wearing my Packers shirts around St Paul all winter and spring and no vikings fan will say a word to me, because they can't. GO PACK, wait they're already there.

You're right, it was lucky to lose Grant in the opener. It was lucky to lose Finley in week 4. It was lucky Rodgers was knocked out of a game and missed the following one to a concussion. It was also lucky they had 18 penalties in a loss to the Bears, who had were given a win against Detroit on a horrible call. It was also lucky when Matthews knocked Kolb out of the opener, since Vick played lights out and mounted a huge comeback.

Luck is having a ball bounce your way or a coin flip going your way, it's not outplaying other teams and winning. Your whole post fails miserably, as the Packers had less luck than most teams this year, but still came out on top.

Packers just like the Jets were wild card teams that barely made the playoffs. These teams are more likely to miss the playoffs than to win a Super Bowl. Interesting how teams can get overvalued based on a few games. Do most of you people buy stocks based a on a few days performance

YEA RIGHT...they win on the road...At Philly,at Atlanta at Chicago and at the super bowl.....
I ll take it any day
GREEN BAY PACKERS....SUPER BOWL CHAMPS

I would like to say Congrats to the Green Bay Packers, as a Vikings Fan, but more importnatly a fan of Football in general, I think they played an outstanding season and deserve all the credit that their organization is getting at this point.

With that being said...after reading almost every post in this thread, i have come to the conclusion that I am SOOOOOOOO glad that my life has more meaning than having my emotional highs and lows being tied to the success or failure of a sports organization that, as a fan of, I have little or no control over their success of lack there of. I'm not going to lie...I just straight up feel bad for some of you people....

Packer fan reality check ...

Oct 24, 2010 - ball pops loose as Quarless hits ground, refs mistakenly call GB TD / Shiancoe catch properly ruled Vikes TD on field, inexplicably overturned by moron on replay / NFL admits blown calls but referee gaffes allow Pack to somehow squeak by Vikes 28-24. That (plus Jets play easily their worst game of year vs. GB) allows Pack to reach 10 wins and squeak into playoffs as final seed.

Jan 9, 2011 - Eagles blow Wild Card game as NFC's best kicker tries to play through a serious family matter , misses two easy field goals and allows GB to squeak by 21-16

Jan 15, 2011 - Falcons stupidly spy on Rodgers as GB easily wins divisional

Jan 23, 2011 - GB gets ANOTHER break as Cutler injured, but Pack has to hold off a late Bear rally led by their 3RD STRING QB (lol) to squeak by again 21-14

(SB win ok, nobody wanted to see Roethlisburger win anyway ...)

Now, somebody, anybody - you too Mike - here's your challenge: SHOW ME A LUCKIER RUN TO THE SUPER BOWL THAN THE 2010 PACKERS.

I'm not hating, just sayin' ... GB fans you'd always rather be lucky than good, and this year YOUR TEAM WAS ... so knock off the dynasty bs, enjoy the good luck you had this year, and better prepare for the pendulum of fortune to swing the other way next year. (I'm thinking more Rodgers injuries and/or a Clay Matthews steroid suspension are most likely scenarios).

Let’s not forget how difficult it is for ANY team to get to the Super Bowl. The pure notion of announcing it out loud, will make him/Packers a very big target this year. And if it wasn’t for the last play in the Giants / Eagles Game Green Bay would have missed the whole Post Season. .......

Huh? How do you figure? Giants and Eagles both finished 10-6. Flip the results of that game and the Giants take the division and the Eagles miss the playoffs. The Packers already had the tie breaker over the Eagles, so the Eagles winning that game actually made it slightly harder for Green Bay to make the playoffs than if the Giants had won.

Let's not forget how difficult it is for ANY team to get to the Super Bowl. The pure notion of announcing it out loud, will make him/Packers a very big target this year. And if it wasn't for the last play in the Giants / Eagles Game Green Bay would have missed the whole Post Season. Not only does a team have to be resilient, which the Pakers have proven they are, it also takes a lot of luck to make it to the Suber bowl (or in NO's case a lot of Refs).

Packers won't win 10 games next season.

The Packers may repeat (I sure am hoping for it…), but they could never duplicate what happened this season.

2010 Packer Dream Season

1.) Favre comes back for one more run… bumb ankle and all.
2.) Favre and Vikes fans get what they want… Randy Moss.
3.) A-Rodge and Packers sweep the Vikings. Favre adds bumb shoulder and hip to the list.
4.) Favre gets accused of sexting. Has his schmeckle plastered all over the net.
5.) Moss and Vikes lose to Patriots. Favre takes one on the chin, Moss gets cut by Childress.
6.) Childress gets canned.
7.) FAVRE GOES DOWN!! Streak ends…
8.) Metrodome collapses.
9.) Favre finishes season on the bench. Tells Bears Peppers to “Go beat the Packers.”
10.) Favre watches as the Pack topples the Bears TWICE in a successful quest to bring the Title back to Titletown. Along the way- the Pack avenges the “4th and 26″ play, Vick handing the Pack it’s first ever home playoff loss and now have ultimate bragging rights over the Bears for the next century or so.

Priceless… couldn’t have written up a more perfect script.

==============================================

You could write a much better script than that. There's a laundry list of great Packer accomplishments that happened in 2010 that we can celebrate and they don't all hinge on what the Vikings failed at this year. Drop all the Favre/Vikings BS and lets focus on what an amazing year Rodgers and the Pack had on their own.

Don't get me wrong, as a Packer fan, I loved seeing the Vikings fall flat this year, but when compiling a list of a 2010 Packers dream season highlights, not every bullet point should be about the Vikings.

My point, for those who can’t think logically, is this: If Rodgers can’t win his division once in 3 years, what makes him think he can win a Super Bowl twice in 2 years? The odds of that happening are astronomical.
--------------------------------------------------------
The odds of the Packers making it and winning the SB were astronomical and they beat them.

You know you are a Packer fan when….

1)You let your twelve-year-old daughter smoke at the
dinner table in front of her kids.
2)You think loading a dishwasher means getting your
wife drunk.
3)Your junior prom had a daycare.
4)You think a woman who is “out of your league”
bowls on a different night.
5)Jack Daniel’s makes your list of “most admired
people.”
-----------------------------------------------------
Fail!
Here's the real list.
1) Your a fan of a team whose trophy case is full and can laugh at one that's empty such as the Vikings one.
2) Your excited and not bitter because your team won it's 4th Super Bowl and 13th championship which is the most in the NFL!
3) You can cheer on an awesome QB instead of an old rust bucket has-been who used to play for a rival team.
4) Your team is owned by the people instead of rich greedy owners which guarantee that your team will never ever leave.
5) You are part of the greatest fan base in all of NFL football.
6) Games will never be moved out of the stadium because there is no plastic roof that can break from the snow.

This is an awesome team. And with a healthy starter corp back next year they will be even more awesome!

The Pack is back! Expect it now and for the next few years to come!
