With a real ugly CBA fight brewing both sides realize that a lot of it will be fought in the press – with this SB fiasco, their INSISTENCE on an 18 game season and right now their most visible owner being Jerry Jones, the owners are not looking too good now.

what a craptastic line of reasoning. no matter how rich or poor these people are when you pay for something you expect to get it so when they were not given what they paid for they rightfully should sue for what it cost them for. 7k for 1 person to attend the superbowl isnt that outlandish when a ticket can easily cost half of that, add in flight, hotel stays, meals, etc and it adds up quick.

OK- I’m a little torn on this. On the one hand, the NFL screwed a lot of frolks and needs to be held accountable. On the flip side- if you have an extra $22,000 to spend to just watch a football game, then either you are rich enough to bear the loss or too stupid to deserve your money back.

Roger Goodell you need to fine yourself. What you allowed to happen to these fans is much worse than any helmet hits layed out by any players over the season.

I realize that the superbowl has never been about the fans but this year really puts the icing on the cake and its time to address it. I hope you reap everything you have earned.

JJ and Goodell could mess up a wet dream. The fish rots from the head. The suit will be good practice for the triple damages thing when the union decertifies and JJ and Goodell do their own thing again. Careful planning as never been Jerry’s strong suit. Goodell has the owners believing that the NFL can always get more cheap meat to run through the grinder for an extra two games. The NFL owners don’t give two hoots and yippee about the fans, so why would they care about the players.

No one at Giant Stadium got screwed they built a new home and started doing what everyone else in the NFL does now PSL seating

And to claim you followed a lossing team 3 Super Bowl wins one loss

I wish for you my friend that you never experience cancer. A little empathy would do you some good.

Two years ago I attended SB XLIII in Tampa and showed up and got seated immediately. So yes, it can be done.

And while you appear to be Jerry’s personal apologist, even you must realize that it was Jerry Jones who bid on the Super Bowl, promising his over the top seating capacity to by installing temporary cheap seats. While the NFL may have taken over operation of the game, it was obvious the dreamed up seating capacity was fraudulent and he and the NFL must be held accountable.

the ngle went way out of their way to propagate a lie. as stated early in this case, it was not a fire marshall thing at all. according to the fire marshall, he can only approve after the completion. the nfl claims that they ran out of time and manpower, that the workers left late saturday night, working late into the night. the unfinished parts to complete the beachers were left near by, to create the perception that they just weren’t completed. but wait a minute, they knew a week prior that the seats were a no go? than why go through the motions to create that perception, and continue to claim false allegations. that is simply wrong, and i don’t think it helps their cause with the cba and not opening the books. roger GODdell and the NFL are a bunch of liars.

Are you for real. First of all who are you to judge someones ability who just finish cancer if they are well enogh to go to the game. Maybe he was ok to walk to the original seats, but not up to walking to the highest area in the stadium. Where is the compasion? surely not with JJ and or the NFL.
If the shoe was on the other foot, do you really think you would let the whole thing just be forgotten…doubt it.

These lies are repulsive. I talked to multiple people (including one couple in my group) who had to miss the first quarter to wait in line only to receive vastly inferior seats.

realdeal12 you should really read the the articles before you comment. The 400 received no seats at all whereas this article concerns the NFL’s lie that the others were given comparable seats. As you’ve obviously never attended a Superbowl, you’re not aware that different seats vary in market value by thousands of dollars. Also, people don’t pay $10,000 to attend the Superbowl to miss a significant portion of the game. I hope if you’re defrauded out of thousands of dollars you just let the perpetrator get away with it rather than getting “a piece.”

—–You have got to be kidding me. Dallas hosting was a disaster for two weeks straight. The NFL and Dallas screwed these fans. Are you really going to pretend you know what the number of people is? It doesn’t even matter. The NFL is going to be hit with a major lawsuit–and they are going to lose. They sold seats that didn’t exist. They knew the seats didn’t exist for a least a week. They are going to pay actual damages for ticket cost, airfare, hotel, and likely punitive damages as well. Get ready for at least $10,000 per fan. Can’t wait to see the $10,000,000 settlement on this one.

$22,000 for her and her TWO brothers ??? No way it was that much. I want to see the credit card statement.

For 22 grand they could have gotten 3 seats on the 40 yard line (not at the goal line), 3 first class airlines tickets from Chicago to Dallas, and stayed at a 5 star hotel in Dallas for the weekend.

I don’t deny that their experience could have been as bad as she said, but I don’t buy the fact that she paid over $7300.00 EACH for their packages. Good grief. Sorry, but I have to throw the bull$hit flag on that.

If that price is real, her first lawsuit should be against the people that ripped her off on the packages to begin with, THEN the second one should be against Jerry Jones and the NFL.

You are dreaming. The very fact that NFL is offering so many people triple price of ticket, etc means that the threat of class action lawsuit winning is real. Otherwise, NFL would do nothing about it. You are absolutely wrong about this. If I (or you) paid good money to get good seats, I’d be pissed too if I got shoddy treatment. I agree on one thing: this was NFL screwing up not Jones or Cowboys. But it will not bode well for Cowboys stadium as a future superbowl host.
