You don’t need to interject your relentless defense of Big Ben into every single conversation either.

If you’re so convinced he’s innocent. Give up the defense, it’s over.

Goodell suspended him, rightly so or not, because he was acting like a pig and he posed a PR problem for the league–more because of the latter than of the former.

So no, Sanchez has not done anything wrong. There is nothing on his record, so he essentially finds himself in the same boat as Ben.

Should he be suspended for poor judgment, like Roethlisberger? If Goodell cared about being consistent, then maybe. Will he be? No.

Goodell, as I said before, only suspended Ben because he posed a PR problem. Despite the fact that Sanchez was already arrested once for rape, and he now finds himself in a situation that would be illegal in some states, there will be no PR outcry.

One reason why there is no outcry is because a lot of the media is located in NY–they’re Jets fans.

The other reason why there is no outcry is because Sanchez carries himself better than Ben. Ben was not a media darling, while Sanchez is. The media didn’t like Ben so they pushed the issue about his sexual assault accusation until Goodell jerked his knee.

Whether that was the correct mode of action or not is irrelevant. The point being that Goodell is willing to suspend certain players for bad judgment while letting others go. And while I’m aware that Sanchez’s bad judgment is not nearly as bad as Roethisberger’s was, it’s still worth noting that Goodell may find himself in a situation where it is necessary to bring the hammer down on players who create the perception of being irresponsible people, even if what they’re purported to have done carries no weight in court.

1.) For those wanting Goodell to “come down hard” on Sanchez like he did Big Ben?

I say to you : Tough sh-t!

The Big Ben situation involved INTOXICATION AND FORCE like someone rightly stated. Even though there was possibly no penetration, ever think that perhaps Big Ben forced the drunk woman to perform oral sex on him? There’s no penetration there now, is it?

Plus, “assumptions aside”, Ben still practically trapped her in a room while his posse guarded the door outside. If that doesn’t sound suspicious, I don’t know what does.

Sanchez, on the other hand, DID *NOTHING* WRONG. In fact, the only thing he’s guilty of is talking to this fugly ho’ and not telling her to take a hike.

2.) But most importantly, Where’s the Proof that he and her had sex? Can someone fill me in and where this was CONFIRMED? Not even this Kruger girl said that he and Mark had sex….and yet everyone is ASSUMING again.

That’s right. Everyone is ASSUMING(just like I “assumed” above with Ben) that he had sexual relations with that girl when, in fact, there’s ZERO EVIDENCE of that having occured. Remember the so-called Pictures of Mark’s *alleged* bedroom that girl provided? IT COULD BE *ANYONE’S* ROOM!! Doesn’t need to be Mark’s. She could have a friend who’s room we are looking at. Could be her cousin. There’s nothing in those pictures that tells us that it really is Sanchez’s room despite what this girl stated.

And quite frankly, the dumb girl’s credibility doesn’t exactly hold water considering who her parents are and what her upbringing was like.

3.) Even if there was evidence of Sexual Contact(which there isn’t any), the Age of Consent in NYC is 17 and for those who don’t know : The age of Consent in NJ is 16.

Personally, I don’t know how these Ages Of Consent were changed WITHOUT the People’s vote on it ’cause I sure as hell would’ve fought to keep it at 18 but anyway….

…regardless of my feelings on that, according to the LAW, at 17 she can legally consent to a relationship in NYC. And if what she stated was true(Doubt it) that she went to Mark’s house in NJ, she still can legally consent since the Age of Consent is at 16. Either way, Mark is not nor will he be in any Legal Trouble….

….OR, despite the outcry from Rapistberger Apologists/Jealous Giants Fans/Patriots fans, Mark did NOT violate any laws or NFL policies. I’m sure, though, that Goodell may talk to him about it just to advise him(in other words, warn him) against doing this in the future but that’s about it.

Second, I’ve met 25 year olds that look 17 and 17 year olds that look 25. It’s not like he automatically has some thing for little girls or something.

And finally, even if the law says that she can’t have consensual sex with him, does deadspin or anyone else have some kind of proof that they had sex? And if you do, do you have a life outside of voyeuring football players?

You really want to compare Brady having an out-of-wedlock baby with a 36 year old model, to Mark Sanchez dating a 17 year old high school junior?

What’s more, the only people telling the story about the bodyguard blocking the door were the two sorority sisters originally falsified the rape accusation against Ben. Their story was refuted by every other witness, including the club owner. And it even conflicted with the accuser’s written statement. In explaining why he would not press charges against Roethlisberger, the DA said he hoped the accuser and her sorority sisters had learned their lesson.
