DANSNYDER, LOL, how has Landry been bullying Jackson?? The redskins have been Deseans punching bag during his entire career. And go back to Deseans TD on the 1st play of the game in the teams 2010 2nd meeting. I swear it looks as if Laron was crying. His eyes look red and watery after he gets up from taking that face plant after Desean burned him. Honest. Go to youtube and check it out.lol

After watching that, I don't care what show-boating nonsense DeSean Jackson pulls on the field.

That was an incredible act of kindness by the Eagles players that will forever change that young boy's life.

I was bullied as a kid, even by my own brother. I even bullied other kids, not realizing how mean it actually was. But I have never seen or known anyone who has experienced the type of excessive and prolonged treatment that boy received in that video. It takes a special type of heartless bastard to subject another kid to that, and I sincerely hope they get what they deserve one day. Karma hurts worse in the end than any punishment they could receive today.

And what's all this "bad rap" for DeSean Jackson talk? I haven't heard much negative about him except that he's pretty arrogant in his interviews and, especially, on the field. But there doesn't seem to be many star receivers out there who aren't completely full of themselves. It seems to go hand-in-hand with playing the position - a special kind of confidence needed to brave the middle of the field with players like Troy Polamalu roaming around. Maybe if he changed his name to something ridiculously stupid and appeared on Dancing With The Stars people wouldn't criticize it so much, eh? I may not love his style of self-promotion, but I certainly love watching him play football. I hope he really does follow through with helping kids out.

norcaleagles says:

DB105, You say Desean acts like a jackass on the field??? Man, almost every single defensive player in the league runs 15 yards away from the play to single themselves out so everyone can see who they are and does some sort of celebration after something as small as a tackle for loss or a sack. Whats wrong with a little TD celebration? And the cowboys players were running their mouths about Desean after the two ’09 losses so his little “celebration” vs the cowboys was well deserved in my opinion.

DJ's moronic celebrations and showboating speaks for itself.

You all can argue about his motivation for getting involved, but who cares? The point is that he DID get involved...while others do nothing.

He made a kid who has been harassed and bullied, feel like a king for once. How can you find fault in that?

I can't decide if the NFL sending the message that Offensive Linemen are prepared to rough up bullies is a good or bad thing...

... that the answer to violence is violence

I think they might want to refine that message a bit and maybe DeSean's foundation can promote better alternatives

Yet at the end of the day, reminding bullies that there's always someone bigger than them isn't really such a bad thing for all bullies to keep in mind

Maybe I'm just too cynical, but this whole PFT Live concept smells like an ESPN-esque effort to nuzzle up to certain athletes at the expense of journalistic integrity.

I say this because of your reference of his "first" visit to PFT Live(?) How presumtuous of you. I'm willing to wager that we won't hear another another ill word spoken of Desean Jackson in the near future to ensure there will be a second visit, no?
