A few weeks after a report surfaced that the Dolphins planned to release cornerback Will Allen, they have come up with a way to keep him.
Drew Rosenhaus said on WQAM Thursday morning that the team and Allen re-structured his contract. Rosenhaus said the two sides came up with a solution that was fair for both parties.
Allen was set to make $5.5 million in 2011, and took a paycut to come back. The 10-year veteran has battled injury problems of late, and should be the team’s nickel back behind Vontae Davis and Sean Smith.

I’m sure they’ll put him on IR if he pulls a hammy.
PFT, thanks for posting up a story that I sent you!!!
Is he the only “Allen” now? Not sure why he didn’t play at all last year. I thought he was done withe Fins. As always, I have high hopes
Many Dolphins fans seem to forget the reason why the Dolphins signed Will Allen to an extension just a few years ago. They need him in Miami. Benny Sapp is garbage, and Will Allen will hopefully push S. Smith to his full potential. But if Smith struggles again like he has (losing his spot to first round bust Jason Allen last season), then it will be Davis & Allen with Smith in the slot.
maybe they should focus on finding a qb after marino retired, what was that like 15 years ago. GET A QB losers.
