Corey Chavous is AWESOME…I agree. He used to come on NFLN for the draft even while he was still playing. Glad he went into the draft eval. business now that he’s done playing.
The ONLY people I really respect when talking about college talent are the NFLN guys. Davis, Mayock, Chavous, even Torry Holt has some good takes, etc.

Never understood how some of these analysts become infatuated with a player of whom they have never spoken during, you know, football season.

The East Coast writers are finally figuring out why Locker didn’t come out last year. He was terrible at UW. Look at his stats and his durability while he played as a Husky.

Every year, the gurus force QBs down the throat of every top ten drafting team, this year its Blaine Gabbert, Mallett, and for a long time, Locker. If I needed a QB I would wait until the second or third round and look for someone like Ponder or Devlin.

Why don’t we just ask Ted Thompson what he thinks of Locker? He’s the genius who drafted Aaron Rodgers so he must know everything about evaluating college QBs. Oh wait, Rodgers fell into his lap and any idiot with a 37-year old QB would have picked him.

go play baseball. your not accurate at all and I’ve watched you miss WR’s for 4 years. You only had 1 winning season as a starter (this year 7-6) and one season you lead the team to a 0-12 season.

Good athlete, not an NFL qb.

As if Mel Kiper isn’t annoying enough, we now hang on the words of his little brother Todd McShay … IF either of these two clowns had a clue what they were talking about, they would be working in the scouting departments of one of the 32 NFL teams. Kiper & McShay both serve a greater purpose at ESPN, which is more & more about talking heads drawing attention to themselves … Mayock seems to take this stuff seriously

There are still 100 days to the draft or so. I’m sure Jake will rise and fall a few more times between now and then. But the buzz story seems to be shaping up as Newton vs. Gabbert. Which is great for off season interest. But I think that Camera Newton showed his stuff today, and will be dodging the Combine. Too bad.
