Jerry Gray still in play for Titans job

On Thursday, University of Texas assistant coach Jerry Gray, a former NFL player and assistant and one-time head-coaching candidate, said he wouldn’t be leaving his new job with the Longhorns for the Titans defensive coordinator job.

On Friday, multiple reports emerged that Gray will nevertheless interview for the position.

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reported that Gray was due to interview on Friday.  Darren McFarland of reported that Gray had arrived for the interview.

It’s believed that Gray can have the job if he wants the job.  Whether he wants the job remains to be seen — and possibly depends on which day it is.
