Michael Bush busted for drunk driving

Though the offseason has been fairly quiet this year, every Friday and Saturday night presents an opportunity for an NFL player to land in the back seat of a police cruiser, if he conducts himself with bad judgment.

It happened this Friday night, when Raiders running back Michael Bush began drinking and later, allegedly, decided to drive a car.

According to, Bush was arrested in Indiana early Saturday for drunk driving.

A fourth-round pick in 2007, Bush is due to become a free agent, whenever free agency begins.

In 2010, Bush rushed for a career-high 655 yards on 158 carries, with eight touchdowns.  He added a career-high 194 yards via 18 receptions.

Well, his free agent price just took a serious nose dive…. Looks like Al may get to keep him in the stable after all.

Nothing frustrates me more, I love to go out a drink as much as the next guy, but I still manage to to get a DD, these players need to get thier head straight. EVERYBODY should have learned from Mr. Stallworth.

You have a enough money to rent a limo to take you ANYWHERE you want. There is absolutely no reason for this.

Between Bush getting arrested, Nmamdi possibly leaving, Bresnahan possibly becoming the DC, and McClain’s rig getting shot up, this offseason has not started off very well for my boys in Silver and Black..

Imagine all the arrests we’ll get next year without a season?

    70 DUIs
    50 Night Club Assaults
    30 Drug Possession
    25 Domestic Abuses
    5 New Babies for Cromartie

Doesn’t the NFL provide car service year round for these guys?

    Use it fellas. Sheesh.

Adn here I thought all the Raiders were choirboys.

    5 New Babies for Cromartie?

Isnt this alittle low? This would be the over/under if there were a season. Its gotta be like 8 or 9 without a season.

Indiana ey? He probably was lost and was trying to get back to Oakland.

  16. hobartbaker says: Feb 12, 2011 1:22 PM

Asked for comment, Bush replied, “I just missed the San Francisco turnoff, I guess. Had no idea I was in Indiana.”.

Well, I guess he’s officially a Raider now!

  18. bspn2 says: Feb 12, 2011 1:51 PM

The Raiders are good at two things: losing football games and getting arrested.

  19. beauregard says: Feb 12, 2011 2:52 PM

They’re gonna need to throw ice water on the “Turd Watch” computer this week to cool it off.

c’mon dude give me a break. raiders had only 7 losing seasons prior to the 7 in a row. I know there are waay more teams that have more than 14 seasons of losing.
and you know that there hasn’t been any raiders arrested as of the late……lol, typical hater that sees a raider article and has to open their mouth like they do on their night job, lol

    Another drunk Bush.

  23. twistedstick says: Feb 12, 2011 4:50 PM

Just because most of you hate the Raiders and you think your team perfect guest what every team has players that get into trouble. Bush if use more often would be one of the best running back in the NFL. He kind remined me of a John Riggins. If the raiders are able to keep him this year you see a running attact will be the best in the NFL.

It amuses me that the “turd watch” term for tracking arrested players has been phased out from this site.

  25. rotato says: Feb 12, 2011 6:23 PM

to everyone leaving the “oh, I didn’t know I was in Indiana” comments…..Louisville sits on the Ohio river, which is the border between Indiana and Kentucky.

Lou Pickney – It’s still there.

I’m really disappointed in Michael Bush, he’s been an awesome back and he really compliments McFadden well.

After reading this though, I know he’ll be gone.

Contrary to what the ignorant haters keep saying, the Raiders have been squeaky clean for years.

  28. hosmachine says: Feb 12, 2011 9:13 PM

wow great start to the off season. I cant wait until the nfl and nba are locked out at the same time. Roger and David will have to put in an express lane for just dui an lesser crimes because its gonna be crazy with all those guys tons of money and nothin to do
