Indiana has become a hotbed of alleged criminal activity for players on AFC West teams who are due to become free agents.

On the same day that Raiders running back Michael Bush was busted for drunk driving, Chargers receiver Legedu Naanee was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Naanee reportedly came upon at active crime scene in Indianapolis early Saturday morning, and police detected a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on or about his breath or person.” He alleged asked the officer why he was being “such an [expletive].”

After several unsuccessful attempts to persuade Naanee to leave the scene, Naanee was informed he had been placed under arrest.

And then, of course, he tried to leave. A blast of pepper spray later, Naanee was cuffed.

“Do you know who I am?” Naanee said. “I am an NFL player and I’m going to sue your ass.”

Ah, yes. The old “do you know who I am?” card. Works every time. Especially for players that no one knows who they are.
