@hscorpio: so he had 9 picks, maybe it's because people actually THROW IT HIS WAY? (btw, he had 6 regular season INTs which are the ones that count on the stats sheet.) Example: the Raiders Asomugha never gets 7, 8, 9 picks in a season. why? no QB throws it his way. The guy can play with a broken hand like last season and still have the least amount of throws his way. Antonio Cromartie had 10 int's his rookie season I believe, pretty sure the next season he had been benched. The cornerback position shouldn't be judged by the number of interceptions you get, it should be judged by the amount of passes going your way. If a team doesn't throw it your way (like everyone does with Asomugha), how do you expect him to get INTs?

Nnamdi..hands down.
Tired of east coast biased opinions.. If Nnamdi played for Packers, Eagles, Pats I'm sure people would be nuts for him. But he plays for Oakland. A team with a reputation that proceeds them.
He provides little spark for that defence though.

And compared to the other corners you have to take in account for what he does off the field.

Nnamdi has my vote.

ASOMUGHA hands down.
what other corner shuts down half the field and doesn't allow a td thrown his way in three seasons.
c'Mon now, that's a real no-brainer

How about one of those 20-yard receptions was half the fault of Woodson, and half the fault of another player?

You know what this poll shows? People only vote for the last player they’ve seen. Tramon Williams had a solid year, not taking anything away from him, but he’s still not even in the same ballpark as Asomugha, Revis, or even his teammate Woodson.
================================

Actually, it shows the poll responders know more about Tramon Williams than you do. You won't find many Packer fans or pundits that think Woodson was better in 2010. That's not a knock on Woodson's play as much as it is a testament to Williams.

Williams had 9 picks, 2 FR and 1 FF for 12 total takeaways. He only allowed 1 TD all year. He set a career low in 20 yard completions allowed (6) and only committed 4 penalties. He allowed 43.5% completion on passes targeting him. Woodson allowed 9.5 20 yard completions, gave up 5 TDs, allowed 52.6% completions when targeted and led the team with 12 penalties. Woodson negated some of his coverage issues by wrecking havoc as the slot DB and was the inspirational leader of the entire team. He had an outstanding year. But for pure CB play, Williams was clearly better.

Revis? I guess reputation means everything in the NFL. I saw him get lit up by the hapless Vikings. I know he had a lingering hamstring injury but I don't think postseason awards should be graded on a curve. If you need to make excuses for a guy, you should probably look another direction.

As a Packer fan that watched all of their games save two when I was on vacation (SF & Det), I'd say that there is no question Tramon Williams had a better year than Charles Woodson....who wasn't bad at all. Woodson's leadership contribution was invaluable to the Packers eventual Lombardi.

It's good to see that the PFT crowd, on the whole, is less gullible and less reliant on name recognition when making a judgement call on who Green Bay's best CB is than the pro bowl voters, game broadcasters, etc.

As a Bears fan who sees a lot of Packer games, I think he was Green Bay's best CB. I still voted for Asomugha (Oak had a very good pass defense this year, and while you can't literally consult a stat sheet to prove it because teams don't give him the chance to post stats, I have to believe Nnamdi was the biggest reason why), but tramon was the best playing CB in the NFC imo.
