Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel has been sporting an impressive beard. And now he’ll shave it off.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, “celebrity barbers” will do the honors on February 24 at the Diesel Club Lounge in Pittsburgh.

Cost for admission is $25, with food and beverages included. The event benefits UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Keisel began to grow the beard during 2010 minicamps, with the goal of reversing the team’s fortunes after missing the playoffs.

At least it won’t get in his way when he’s digging ditches.
