Santana Moss hopes to stay in Washington

With his contract voided, Santana Moss is free to sign with any team he wants when the new league year starts. Moss made it clear on Friday’s PFT Live that he doesn’t want to go anywhere.

“My first choice is to stay in Washington,” Moss told Florio when asked about a possible return to New York. “My mind is nowhere outside of Washington. The fans are great. The organization has treated me well since day one. That’s where I want to be, when it’s all said and done.”

Moss is coming off one of his best seasons and the Redskins are very thin at wide receiver. Washington is certainly willing to pay big money, which is one way the team has treated Moss so well over the years. The wild card here is that Mike Shanahan and Bruce Allen weren’t involved in bringing Moss to the organization.

In the end, we suspect Moss will get his wish and stay put.
