Bills to change playing surface in 2011

The Bills are doing their best to start anew next season.

They are changing their uniform, and the Buffalo News reports they are planning to change their playing surface as well.

The Bills requested to seek bids to replace the AstroPlay surface which was installed in 2003.  It’s expected the team will stick with artificial surface.

“Only the carpet needs to be replaced, and this does not involve the asphalt sub-base or the draining system,” said Scott Berchtold, the Bills’ vice president of communications.

Yep, this is about all we can find on a sleepy Saturday afternoon.

Football should be played on grass.

This is old news (Like Tuesday). If you really did some research, the big story would be the possible new lease agreement with Erie County.

Stop linking all the LA stories to the Bills, seriously. They aren’t leaving, and the fans of this franchise have gone through enough. We don’t need to see any talk about the Bills moving to LA. It’s distasteful, and disrespectful.

really? If it’s such a slow news day, why don’t you ask each player what they ate for breakfast? Haha

Forget the playing surface. Change the ownership, scouting department, parking crew, beer vendors, human resource staff, janitors, and fan base and maybe, JUST MAYBE, you might have a team that is relevent.

New uniforms, new field…….now can we get a new owner, GM and scouts?

It’s a 110-yard field with 25 additional yards for each end zone. Go figure.

18 game season? Hell, how about a 46 game season, with 6 weeks of playoffs? I can’t stand weekends without football. Each team could have 100 man rosters, or something like that. And lotsa cheerleaders, lotsa lotsa cheerleaders.

The next thing the Bills should do is give “Pinto Ron” his own suite

and they can score a rouge, in addition to wearing some.

I kind of think all football should be played in a dome. The game has evolved, and it’s kind of passe that weather should be a factor in these important late-season games. Big plays in a dome, where the simply better team/strategy wins; who wants to see that?

Bring back the red end zones!

You guys are right. The Bills are not going to LA.

    Toronto is much more likely.
