Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara won’t let questions regarding his top-end speed discourage him from running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine this week.

Amukamara, seen as a potential top-ten pick, says he will perform all drills.

“If there was something you were unsure about, yeah, maybe I’d not do it,” Amukamara told the Omaha World Herald. “But I don’t feel that way.”

While the 40 is overrated in general, it does hold particular importance to cornerbacks -- especially this year’s crop. This is a class filled at the top with cornerbacks that are known for their physical play more than their speed.
