With one Drew Rosenhaus client who plays tight end for the Tennessee Titans widely expected to leave the team via free agency after spending two years under the franchise tag, another Rosenhaus client reportedly wants to take Bo Scaife’s place on the roster.

TitanInsider.com reports that the free-agent tight end Jeremy Shockey is interested in joining the team.  Per the report, the Titans have not yet reached out to Rosenhaus regarding Shockey.

Shockey, originally drafted by the Giants in 2002, has spent the last three seasons in New Orleans.  The Saints cut Shockey earlier this week.  New Titans offensive coordinator Chris Palmer worked for the Giants during a portion of Shockey’s tenure there.

Shockey said Wednesday on ESPN’s NFL Live that he would be taking a physical with an unnamed team Thursday.  Rosenhaus told Joe Rose of WQAM in Miami that Shockey would like to play for the Dolphins.

Don’t really see it happening, the Titans have Jared Cook to replace Scaife and also Craig Stevens as a blocking tight end.

Shockey to Miami would be an upgrade…sadly.

The Titans have a very good pass receiving tight end already – Jared Cook. However, if Shockey is a good blocker, that’s what CJ needs to get back to being elite. When Crumpler left, so did his blocking, and CJ suffered.

I thought Shockey was interested in going to Miami to to run routes, and watch the QB over throw him for 16 games….

This is just another Drew Rosenhaus ploy to get the most money for his client… Everyone in the world knows there isn’t a high demand for Shockey. He is a serviceable TE at best when he is not Healthy which is rare…

CORRECTION: …..When he is HEALTHY which is rare..

LOL true (sadly). However the dolphins would spend allot of money and wouldn’t put him in the game plan LOL (sad to say).
