Clemson defensive end and expected top-five pick Da’Quan Bowers isn’t participating in most of the Combine this week, presumably because he’s coming off a torn MCL.

Bowers revealed Saturday here, however, that he’s fully recovered.

He said that he is skipping workouts because he feels that he didn’t have the same amount of time to train for the Combine as everyone else, but that he’s been fully healthy for weeks.

Rob Rang of CBSSports.com says scouts have questions about Bowers’ burst, regardless of his injury. Rang believes Bowers isn’ doing any favors by skipping the Combine, but we’re not sure it matters much.

Bowers may fall off the media radar a bit as players like Robert Quinn impress in Indianapolis. In the end, Bowers’ delay to work out shouldn’t move him down any draft boards as long as his March Pro Day goes well.
