Patriots expected to cut Nick Kaczur

Patriots Kazcur Arrested Football

Nick Kaczur appears to be done as a New England Patriot.

Kaczur, a former regular starter on the Patriots’ offensive line who missed the entire 2010 season, has likely played his last down with the team, the Boston Herald is reporting.

According to the report, the Patriots approached Kaczur and asked him to take a massive pay-cut from his 2011 salary of $3.4 million. Kaczur declined.

So the Patriots, who were just fine without Kaczur in 2010, will move on without Kaczur going forward. And Kaczur will look for a team that’s willing to make him a starter, and pay him accordingly.

Any team that signs him better be careful.

    Seriously, $10 a pill?

    Eagles will make an offer.

Not surprising. His skills diminished after his whole weird drug bust thing.

Costanza from BC or Smith from USC look like suitable replacements. No big loss Kazur was going to have to kick inside and take Neals place.

Kazur is not a high profile FA and if the lockout goes into September many marginal players may have played their last down in the NFL. Not a real bright move.

another player dropped by Bill – da douche-this man has no loyalty

No one will be happier than I will. I was PISSED when they resigned him after all that drug crap. It’s not even like he’s an elite player and you just nod and grin at it like most teams would when it’s a star.

So the Patriots were fine with Kaczur being an admitted dope smuggler, illegal drug possesor, OxyContin addict, and snitch.
But they don’t want him anymore if he won’t play for peanuts.

Wow, the Patriots are one classy, respectable organization.
They will employ smugglers, dopeheads, woman beaters, and cheaters. They will throw out the propaganda like “we want character players on our team” and “our fans are the best”
Then they will sue longtime season ticket holders if the holders need the money and sell a few games of their season tickets, and sue those who are in club level sections who can no longer afford the seats.
Then if their”character” players won’t take a paycut, the team doesn’t want them anymore.

Greedy Bobby Kraft has to be the biggest two-faced scumbag owner in the whole league

Nick Kaczur is a complex individual with a myriad of complexities that has not been fully understood by the masses of self-absorbed hypocrites in the media. Having said that, I understand the proverbial insult slung his way from time to time. Kaczur is a fine talent and an even better humanitarian, but that cannot excuse the minor indiscretions of an athlete of his stature.

I still find it hard to believe there was no punishment from the NFL for his drug bust

Could there be a more ignorant statement? Seriously? They gave him a new, bigger contract after get busted for selling oxy and then having to work as an informant for the cops. Talk about giving a guy a second chance. You are an idiot. He is getting cut because his back crapped out. He already got a year of pay without having to play. Shut your pie hole. You no idea what you are talking about.

now you know why a player try’s to get what he can, cause as soon as a team won’t pay him, they sh*t can him! owners can’t have it both ways, those turds!!

This is actually quite funny, because the guy who was cut dropped a dime on someone who helped him acquire the drugs he was desperately seeking.

Diminished skills ?!!? In order to have “diminished
skills” you would have had to HAVE said skills at
one point. This guy is a modern day Frankenstein.
Cement feet. I used to cover my eyes when Robert
Mathis would line up over him. Thought he’d get
Brady Killed. He single-handedly killed more drives than anyone on that offense when he played.

I HOPE the plan is to draft Pouncey and put him
at center, moving Koppen to RG. (Who no-longer can handle pressure up the middle, see their last few play off games if you don’t agree.)

Yeah because its about loyalty dumb ass, right… it’s about winning. Players are loyal to themselves, teams to themselves, expect no less.. duh

Players maximize dollars… Teams, performance for their dollars.

Rex Ryan just blew his load at the thought of an opportunity to sign an ex pat.

  17. ytsejamer1 says: Feb 27, 2011 8:19 PM

He won’t be missed…always mistaken for a turnstyle on the line, I don’t think he really brought much to the table as a player. Connolly and Wendell are much better than he at the guard position and have played that position.

I know he was out there on the RT position, but until Light is done, Vollmer isn’t going anywhere.

Thanks for the memories, Nick. Get your fat contract somewhere else, if you can.

    Pats oline is looking shaky

  24. beefsbrother says: Feb 28, 2011 7:05 AM

    Ok, haters, let’s see…

The Colts cut Sanders a because he’s hurt a lot and he makes too much. They are a wonderful organization.

The Saints cut Shockey because he’s hurt a lot and he makes too much. They are a wonderful organization.

The Pats cut Kaczur because he’s hurt a lot and he makes too much. The Pats are evil and Kraft is just greedy.

It might be asking a lot, but grow the F up and stop being so transparently ignorant.

  25. Kave Krew says: Feb 28, 2011 7:43 AM

Kazur was a nice insurance policy. When he was penciled in to replace an injured player, I was niether relieved nor thrilled.

A 4th – 5th rounder will be able to replace him at a much lower cost. The saving go to Mankins.

What the hell is your point, Spanky?

  28. armchairgm9 says: Feb 28, 2011 8:55 AM

You can spin this however you want…

The Pats didn’t cut Kaczur after all the drug stuff, but will now cut him because he won’t take a pay cut…

    OR…

The Pats cut Kaczur because he was involved in all the drug stuff, and didn’t want to keep a guy with that kind of history so they asked him to take a pay cut or else…

Simply depends on which side of the fence you sit.

  29. gregjennings85 says: Feb 28, 2011 10:59 AM

Drug problem? It’s nice knowing Ted Thompson won’t touch this guy.

  30. homelanddefense says: Feb 28, 2011 12:03 PM

he sucks anyway, no loss. The guy played like he was a human turnstyle.

  31. teentalksfootball says: Feb 28, 2011 9:59 PM

Why would he take a big pay cut? That doesn’t make a lot of sense. But, anyway, I could easily see the Eagles or Steelers signing him, in particular the Steelers because the Eagles may feel that their new offensive line coach is enough to keep pass rushers at bay. I am predicting that Kaczur will end up playing in Pennsylvania.
