But seriously, Scott better watch out that instead of passing the blood packet to Scott as they do to simulate getting cut open, Angle doesn’t pass him some of the meds that got him kicked out of the WWE.
Although I guess with the CBA done in a few days, its every lineman, corner and quarterback for themselves. Booze, drugs, extreme sports…its all fair game.

While it is true that some “pro” wrestlers were college and/or Olympic champions, WCW/WWE style “professional” wrestling is a bunch of silly play acting that is about as dangerous as participating in the choreographed fights in Hollywood films. It is a bunch of silly nonsense for 10 year olds and 20 somethings suffering from Peter Pan syndrome.

This is the exact details I read on the incident.

“They stared each other down, as Angle ignored the several pushes from Scott and Scott did the pieface to Angle as he was trying to leave the ring. This Angle responded to with an ankle lock to Scott and the “Refs and officals had to pull him off”. This is where the show ended with Angle posing in the ring.”

Considering the ankle lock is a move in which you basically just grab a guy’s leg and pretend to turn the foot, that really doesn’t count as actual wrestling.

So the whole situation is overblown.

Kurt Angle won an Olympic gold medal. Pretty sure he could beat Sanderson. And have you seen Rulon Gardner lately? If not, then check out the current installment of The Biggest Loser. Brock Lesnar, while not a pro wrestler anymore, was a national champion in college.

Most pro wrestlers know how to wrestle. It’s just not what the business is about. If Bart Scott wants to wrestle, then more power to him. Though he should have waited until this week to film his segment to avoid any of these contract issues. Other than that, who cares?

well he wont have to wait long since the lockout will be coming Saturday. Having said that, every offseason we see players get hurt by doing something non-football related (playing basketball, flag football, riding motorcycles, etc.) It’s a fact of life that can’t be avoided and the players are going do what they want regardless.

Wrestling isn’t real unless it’s a Freestyle, Greco, or Folkstyle match. This “wrestling” is just entertainment. It tarnishes what it means to be a real wrestler like Dan Gable, Cael Sanderson, Phil Davis, Rulon Gardner, etc. and what those men gave up to become true champions, not some roided out freak with no testicles and anger issues.
