#1-I am guessing Rolle did close to zero prep for this test since he was overseas at Oxford up until pretty close to the time the draft happened IIRC and was probably more concerned with doing well on/training for the physical tests since he hadn’t played the past year.

#2-I would guess that the position he plays (S) has one of the worst average Wonderlic scores of any position. His getting a 33 shows he’s basically Einstein or Edison for his position. 33 is a pretty good score for a QB or OL and they are the two highest scoring positions IIRC.

But sometimes you just know you nailed it. Like, back in the 4th grade, I just knew I had aced this pop quiz…

Kiper makes his selection by drawing a name out of a hat and runs with it. Same goes for Todd McShay.

I pretty much only listen to Mike Mayock because he takes the hype out of the draft and is quick to discount Combine workouts and side with a kids full body of work.

As a Rhodes Scholar – maybe he “knew” he got at least 48 of them correct !

As someone who’s taken a Wonderlic before, about 25 of the questions are easy (many of them ridiculously easy), another 15 are fairly tough, and the other 10 are tough.

Maybe he aced the first 40 as well as 8 of the 10 tough ones, and perhaps “guessed” at the 2 he didn’t know ?

Being brilliant doesn’t make you a good QB in the NFL.

Employers give the test as well and no one has a problem with it. I don’t believe it should be a sign as to how well you perform but if you put it in context of a guy that has a low score and doesn’t work hard (VY and JaMarcus Russel come to mind) then I think it gives an employer some kind of a sign as to what to expect from his employee.

I took the test and other types of test over the years and for me, it was a non-issue

It is definitely possible for a person to score a 48 but it would be a phenomenal achievement.
