Jack Del Rio expressed great confidence in David Garrard at the NFL Scouting Combine and said the Jaguars would like to add a developmental quarterback in the draft.

The team still has room for one more quarterback.

The Jaguars announced an undisclosed contract for Luke McCown Monday. Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union first reported that McCown was close to a one-year deal.

At one point last offseason, there were questions whether McCown could challenge Garrard for a starting job. When Garrard struggled early in the year, it looked like McCown may get the call.

McCown wound up replacing Garrard because of injury, then tore his ACL after throwing only 19 passes.
