No one has the Bills taking Peterson but I wouldn't be shocked if they did. They're going to lose Whitner and maybe Florence. McGee can't stay healthy and McKelvin is a bum. If he's the blue chip of the draft, and he's there at #3 I could see the Bills taking him.

If the union and the league can work out a rookie salary cap, teams won't be as desperate to find a blue chip at the top of the 1st round. If a player doesn't get $50m guaranteed, they don't have to be a week 1 starter. Carolina could take a guy like Gabbert (not saying it's going to happen) and actually allow him to take his time to learn the game and develop.

They haven’t talked to him about switching because they watch his tape and realize that while he’s is extremely talented he has no desire to provide support in the run.

Which he would have to do much more of as a Safety than as a Corner
______________________________

Are you crazy? How many LSU games did you watch the past few years? He is punishing in run coverage. He without doubt is a hard hitting player and I think that is why he IS going to get shifted to Safety.

He has more than enough speed to play the corner but you don't need all that power, ball hawking skills and ability on the edge. He would be better used at FS.

I can see him getting used by a team a lot like we use Malcolm Jenkins here in New Orleans. Good enough to play corner but too many ball skills and power not to use at safety, but like Jenkins I can see him getting played at the corner now and then. Be it due to injury or more often to match up with a larger receiver like say a Roddy White, Larry Fitz, or an Andre Johnson. His size and speed would allow a team to level the playing field against the larger WR's.

“They haven’t come to me about changing positions to safety, but if it so happen happens, then I’ll just have to live with it,” Peterson said.

He added that he would be happy to change positions if that’s what a team wanted, but made it clear he seems himself as a safety.
