to be fair, there has only been 45 Superbowls so to say the Vikings haven’t won any Superbowls in 50 years is making it sound even worse than it needs to be.

Putting the tag on Greenway was the only thing that made sense. He was the only potential free agent that they knew they had to keep. This is the best option by far, but of course Vikings haters wouldn’t understand that. Let’s face, Vikings haters will never have anything positive to say about anything. That’s just who they are. And I can see their response now….”Why would we have anything positive to say about a team that hasn’t won superbowl in 50 years.” Blah, blah, blah. Same old comments, different day.

You mean like drafting a roided-out workout warrior with the second overall pick, the only one in the top 5 of that draft who didn’t go to the HOF? Mistakes like that? Or trading a future PB and SB QB to move up 7 spots to draft a guy whose ego was a lot bigger than his game, in a draft that featured 29 PBers int he first 64 picks?

Now we have something in common, I regret it also. What I find even more ironic is the article is about a Viking getting a big payday, $10 mil, and yet the majority (all except mine) are personal attacks on me and none of it is about the sad state of affairs, personnel-wise, of the team.

Well said. As misguided and as Jimmy is, at least he used to attempt to make a point. Jimmy’s posts and attempts at humor are so tired and played out at this point it’s hardly worth the effort to mock him anymore. I’m amazed he didn’t throw in his old stand by zinger about LA stadium, LA Vikings, California, etc… It’s just sad and pathetic. Jimmy, maybe you should head back into the basement for a while and work on your material.

$10 mil for a LB? I know Greenway is one of the better players on the Viking’s defense but that’s like being the tallest midget at the porn convention. Sure there’s some stature to that but in the final analysis, you’re always looking up at the golden prize.
