Three and a half years after he last played in the NFL, Donovin Darius is formally calling it quits.
Darius signed a one-day contract to retire with Jaguars, the team announced today.
The Jaguars selected Darius out of Syracuse in the first round of the 1998 NFL draft, and he played all but three games of his career for Jacksonville. He left the Jaguars after the 2006 season and played three games for the Dolphins in 2007.
Darius is second in Jaguars history with 858 tackles and third in Jaguars history with 14 interceptions.
