WOW ... where is the love? Heck, where is the LIKE?
Palmer is getting trashed this way and that. I can't understand how everyone is pummeling Palmer for pick6's at crucial moments? Do we think that there weren't 11 other guys determined to make Palmer's crucial moments go wrong? Wasn't there a reciever on the other end of the pass that could have done something to make it not a pick6? Was there, at least, 10 other Cincy players also responsible for those crucial moments?

Not according to the postings ... the Bills took his backup, and NO they didn't have anywhere close to a 'good' year (4-12) obviously, but the Bills actually had a very productive year offensively ... do I blame Fitzpatrick for the 4-12? No, I blame the swiss-cheese defense, 30+ points in an NFL game s enough to win in this league, but not without help .... another case of no 'supporting cast' ... I stretch to say that as Bills fans we were happy the offense was producing and confused our defense was in the crapper.

Point being, it takes many ppl to make a team.
We've heard about QBs going to a 'bad situation' and that NFL analyst's understanding that it takes MORE than just a great QB ... it takes a team and an organization to foster winning .... I don't think he had either going for him .. My $.02

Bengals trade the 5th pick to Philadelphia for Kolb and Eagles 2nd rounder. Bengals trade Palmer to Seahawks for 1st round pick.

but i’m an idiot for thinkin this labor deal will be done before the draft.
this is dumb. ,

hey carson, at least you werent drafted by the Browns.
____________________________________

Considering how deep the draft is this year losing a pick is not an option for the Eagles. Normally Kolb would only be worth a 3rd but in this QB depleted league, Kolb is worth a 1st and maybe a 4th (depending on where the 1st was). Kolb will end up in AZ. Remember this is still a business and supply and demand is what drives it!

Thinking that Palmer is worth it to the Seahawks is for morons. They have Hasselbeck, he cost the same, is Mr Seattle and is the same caliber if not better than Palmer. If the Seahawks were smart they would pay Hasselbeck, draft more on D and know that they are big threat as an up and coming team in a VERY VERY VERY weak division.

Send Palmer to the Vikings...... For a 5th and a conditional 2nd (he will never meet the conditions but it makes it sound good). They can have Jordan to hold his brothers tiny jock strap too!!!!

Maybe we have just stumbled on to the Bengals troubles in the past few years. Everyone blames Marv, Mr. Brown......let's open our eyes. The way Carson's acting doesn't exactly say "LEADERSHIP". Let's say we hit the nail on the head. His actions certainly exude immaturity, and I don't call that leadership. Sorry, Carson....I had your back until I read this. Grow up, and go away!!

I don't care how much money you make...simply playing poorly is NO JUSTIFICATION IN ANY WAY for "fans" throwing crap on your lawn and/or destroying YOUR property. In fact, it is loathsome behavior by those fans.

I realize too that he is far from the first player to have this happen to him. It happens in other cities as well. Showing "class" is a two way street.

The man has a wife and family and who could blame him for feeling that way when it's possible the safety of his family is at stake and for no other reason than not playing well? Not I.

That said, it would be disappointing if he is the one who said this for public consumption rather than it's getting repeated not by his own efforts to leak it. I don't care for "negotiating in the press" either by management or by players.

SCREW CARSON. I understand things were not perfect in Cincinnati-far from it. Like it or not the Bengals are the reason he had the money in the bank, they kissed Carsons butt even hired his brother. Carson wanted TO, he got him. When he came out in the draft it was documented he lacked leadership skills-yep still missing. I would rather watch someone play for the "love of the game" that the players would follow and gave it his all. I cant remember ever seeing Carson at any of the charity events in the area or buy in from day 1. SCREW CARSON.

Pretty bad when your franchise qb calls your team a lost cause....

Heres a thought maybe just maybe the 80 million dollar question should be... Why do rich people (the ownership) seem to think they can fix anything...?

If I played for a loser team year after year and had to deal with LOUD MOUTH WR and criminal players every year maybe I would want to go somewhere else where I could be a profesional..

I wonder if Carson really said any of this. There is no confirmed source or name attached. On a side note I heard that his wife moved back to Cali in Nov. after fans dumped trash in the Palmer's yard. Who knows, maybe there are marriage troubles dictating Carson's decisions. If that is true then she had, I believe, twins and hauled ass for Cali leaving Carson back in Cincy. She could divorce and get 40 mil.

$80 million in the bank. That's rich. Interestingly enough, Mike Brown was overheard the other day saying he used to have $80 million in the bank but then he gave it to Carson Palmer.

In other Bengals news, their management team was quite excited about the prospect of being able to draft a highly athletic black QB. They reportedly said "we are kicking the tires on Akili Smith ...". Then someone ruined the fun and told them about Cam Newton. The single Cincy scout didn't know who he was and was wondering if he was any relation to Fig or Isaac.

Of course all of this deals a terrible blow to the Bengal's playoff fortunes. Much like the opening of the season does. Marvin Lewis was asked for his thoughts on next year and he replied "Last year I sucked. Next year the players will"

"Go back to southern cal and clean pools for 8 bucks an hour."

So Palmer has no right to get rich through athletics, he needs to be as poor and as miserable as you?

That's socialism, the belief that he shouldn't be allowed to be rich because you consider his job "fun" and would "do it for free". Which, by the way, you wouldn't.

I'm sorry he has a unique and in-demand skill (that enables him to make $80M) and you don't. That's the luck of the draw. He can draw that type of pay, who are you to say he doesn't "deserve" it. You commie.

What's funny is that, if he made $80M bilking investors at Lehman Brothers, no one would say a word. They'd call him "hard working" and call any demand that he take less salary "punishing success".

Want to see a Reagan Republican become a Jimmy Carter-like thinker? Show him a guy who gets rich by working with his hands, or athletic ability! They can't stand it!
