okay.... so ur telling me that I dont agree or like this signing??? ur saying I am saying i like it when i really dont... that makes a lot of sense. Well chose to believe me or not Ive wanted the Saints to sign him since he came out of detroit. Before the browns signed him I kept telling ppl this guy is the perfect fit for our team. As far as Payton and loomis go, they have a pretty good track record and they've earned the benefit of the doubt when signing free agents that may have character issues. Everyone said the same thing about shockey and he never caused any problems here, in fact he become quite the locker room leader. I mean cmon ur talking about two completely different organizations in the Browns and the Saints (one is championship caliber having won a sb last year and one is the sports world toilet bowl having no success in football in the last 3o years and lost the worlds most popular athlete in embarassing fashion. The only thing cleveland has is a fictional movie about the Indians and a family guy character named Cleveland Brown... thats ab it. We are not Cleveland! From reading your comment im assuming ur a Cleveland person and if so I really see no reason for you to mention your Browns with our Saints.... ur comparing apples and oranges friend. Oh and try not to sound so bitter next time... let it go!

>>>Love love love this move…love it.
-----------------------------------------------
You know what they say about people who overcompensate in their language, don't ya?They're lying. If you *really* loved this move, you would have said "Love this move." By overdoing the statement, it's pretty plain that you are actually kind of worried about this move, *don't* particularly like it, but are desperate to make Browns fans think you do. Next time, try not to be so obvious. You don't "love" this move at all.
----------------------------------------
>>>...and as far as the “character issues” anyone who knows anything ab football should know by now that Sean Payton and Gregg Williams do not waste their time with guys who #1 are bad locker room guys and #2 cant get it done on the field.
--------------------------------------------

Yeah, except they just did. Rogers is a whiny malcontent. He will find something to be disgruntled about with the Saints or any other team he ever plays on. He has become lazy, thinks he's above camp, and his production has really dropped off. Don't bother using the "he just wasn't enthusiastic because he was playing for a bad team" BS excuse. These guys know that they're not gonna get the money and starting positions they want by looking lazy and unenthusiastic. The fact is is that Rogers is a 32 year old, HUGE guy. His body has had it and he's just about done.

I can tell you that pretty much everyone in Cleveland wanted his back-up, Ahtyba Rubin, to play instead of Rogers. Because we've seen what's going on with this attitudinal tub o lard.

Anyway, just thought I'd chime in and let you know that some of us can read between the lines and it's 200% obvious you *want* some folks to think this is a good signing, but you know it's not.

I love the smell of haters in the morning. Love love love this move...love it. This is an immediate upgrade at the DT position and as far as the "character issues" anyone who knows anything ab football should know by now that Sean Payton and Gregg Williams do not waste their time with guys who #1 are bad locker room guys and #2 cant get it done on the field. Ive never disagreed with any moves Loomis and Payton have made together (except for Wilkerson and Alex Brown.. i thought McCray was better) bc they have a strong philosophy and our guys buy into that philosophy. Rogers passed up on 6 mil this year from a different team and took 4 mil to play here so we're already off to a good start with him. WHO DAT!!!!!!

Maybe I'm missing something or maybe Falcons fans really are as dumb as the rest of the league thinks they are. Smack talk from a organization that has NEVER won a Super Bowl and until recently had never had 2 consecutive winning seasons? You beat the Saints once this year and that was when our kicker, who was hopped up on Adderrall, shanks a gimme and your players are running around like they won the Super Bowl. I'm pretty sure we returned the favor when we came to your house and brought you back to Earth. Hartley blew that kick and Bryant was clutch but c'mon, you guys are not the Steelers or the Pack. And when your history includes trading a first ballot HOF (Favre) and your lasting impression on the league is a end-zone dance maybe you should hold out for something worth celebrating before you guys anoint yourselves as the next "big thing". And as a sidenote there has never been such a ill-deserved nickname as "Matty Ice" when his only clutch moment has been a comeback against the Ravens at HOME.

I like this signing. I don't think anyone should anticipate Rogers handling a heavy workload. Unless I'm mistaken, they should still have Remi Ayodele, and the combination of the two should provide an effective NT tandem next to Ellis. With attention on Ellis, Rogers, and Will Smith, the other end simply has to win one-on-one battles, which most NFL ends should be able to do.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Gregg Williams likes tinkering around a bit. At separate points in his coaching career, he's been a heavy blitzer, a Tampa 2 guy (well, he ran a variant in Washington for a year). With their lack of an elite pass rush last year, and the chances of finding an elite guy this year being debatable that late in the draft, a guy like Rogers could potentially allow Gregg to go even heavier with blitz packages if he opted to. Most "pressure" defenses require their defensive linemen to slam the run shut.

Look, if Rogers is being asked to carry a heavy workload, I don't think that's going to turn out too well. In a rotation where he's coming in as part of a group, I could see it succeeding.

Draft and develop your team's way son.....cast aways are not the answer. i guess the powers to be in NewOrleans have little patience and are not willing to develop "Saint" people to win multiple NFL titles. GB has 3 more guaranteed. The Saints?? Simply a fart in the wind..

Draft and develop your team’s way son…..cast aways are not the answer. i guess the powers to be in NewOrleans have little patience and are not willing to develop “Saint” people to win multiple NFL titles. GB has 3 more guaranteed. The Saints?? Simply a fart in the wind..

Back to the Super Bowl Baby!

Takes a lot more than a good d-line to win a Super Bowl. Just ask the Vikings.

If, IF Rogers can get himself back into some kinda decent shape (by Shaun Rogers standards), he could wreak some havoc in opposing backfields. Now that he's back in a traditional 4-3 defense, he'll be able to shoot the gaps again, like he did earlier in his career.

He finally gets to play for a winner. Let's see if rising tides raise all boats.
