I came here to post that I wouldn't be surprised to see Bannan re-join Rex Ryan in NY. He's a Rex kinda guy & would undoubtedly play his best in Rex's scheme, as he did in Bmore.

But I have to say:

@ppdoc13 - I could not have better said what you had to say about Ray Lewis. In addition to the incredible stats the man has compiled...in addition to the awards he has won & Pro-Bowl/All-Pro teams he has made...if there is EVER a question that he is the greatest MLB of all time & one of the greatest football players of all time, look at the list you compiled of other football players whose careers were built on his back...and then consider what he has done for the careers of all these coaches who coached Ray Lewis before ever becoming a head coach: Marvin Lewis, Jack Del Rio, Mike Smith, Mike Singletary, Rex Ryan, not to mention other coordinators. He is an incomparable talent & we will sorely miss him when he hangs up his cleats.

...believe it or not, he's not even my 2nd favorite Raven...but his greatness is unmatched.

Justin Bannan is another in a long line of Ravens players who parlayed playing on a top 5 defense into a huge money deal. Bannan is a high motor guy with good skills and a great locker room type of player, but there is no way that he was worth what he was given by the Broncos.

Ed Hartwell, Adalius Thomas, Gary Baxter, Kim Herring, Bart Scott, Duane Starks, Make Kemoatu, Dwan Edwards, Anthony Weaver, and the list keeps growing.

All have one thing in common..... They all ought to be sending Ray Lewis some money. Because, despite the miscreants who scream murder every time his name is mentioned, Ray Lewis is the single common denominator that all these men share. His ability to raise the level of the players around his has made these men rich beyond their wildest dreams. Good for them. But let's give the credit where it is due. A large amount of it belongs to the Wizard of Oz for seeing something in the guys but a larger amount belongs to the best MLB to play the game.

wallabear63 says: Mar 3, 2011 6:09 PM

I would suggest to John Fox: if you want to win, then put Tebow in. Kyle Orton is nothing more than a scrub (3-10 season record in 2010) who may look “pretty” with his mechanics and 300+ passing yards per game, and 2-4 TDs thrown per game, but is a QB who will never be a winner. Tim Tebow is that guy.

So wheres your logic? Your comment is a total conundrum chief. Did you notice how many points the opponents were scoring? What a stupid comment.

I could probably spend an hour shooting holes in that statement, but I don't have the time. In short, Tim Tebow is certainly not the answer to any team's problems. Trust me, you'll find that out over the next 5 - 7 years, if it even takes that long...
