Baseball’s championship series is called the World Serires because it used to be sponsored by the New York World. The NFL coined the world champs phrase for the SB Champs. Find something more important to worry about and quit trying to “back” your way into an NFL Championship vike fans. Didn;t happen, probably never will.

Good point…. The Little League World Series has a claim to that, but until the MLB victor at least plays the Japanese victor, then can it really be a World Series?

It’s sad to see this story’s comments turn into yet another battle between Packers fans and Vikings fans. Ok I get it, you hate each other. But there’s other things more important in life…. like doing the right thing. Yes people make mistakes. I only hope they can learn from them to make better decisions in the future.

So by that logic, since the Packers won the same NFL Championship that you say we “have to count” the years they won the first two Super Bowls, then they really have 15 Championships? Or do you only “have to count” the NFL Championship during a year when the team lost the Super Bowl?

And how come we don’t hear Colts fans making that lame argument? Oh that’s right… their team has actually won a few titles.

Queens = oldest existing franchise in any of the major professional sports leagues that has NEVER won a championship.

Blame the NFL dude, they’re the ones who came up with that title.

I love when Viking fans try to play around with semantics to act like they’ve won a championship. Whereas 9 of the Packers 13 titles came before the merger, those same 9 happened before there was a championship game between the AFL/AFC and NFL/NFC. Two of those titles happened when there was no merger, but there was an AFL/NFL Championship game (SB I & II) and they won.

The 1 “NFL Championship” that Vikings fans claim resulted in a Super Bowl loss and therefore, the Vikings were not recognized as the best team in football that year. The 13 NFL Championships that the Packers own resulted in them being recognized as the best team in the league.

Let’s check the score, we can either list it as:

Packers: 13
Vikings: 0

Packers: 13
Vikings: 1*

* Lost in Super Bowl

Some younger (and older) NFL players seem to gravitate to that kind of crap… it doesn’t say anything bad about an organization unless they turn their head and look the other way. The Packer organization has had its share of bad apples, Mossey Cade among others. They have done a good job of weeding out these types of individuals, and have done a much better job than a lot of NFL clubs. I don’t expect him to be around next fall if there is a season.
