Steve Sabol in stable condition after seizure

NFL Films President Steve Sabol is recovering in a Kansas City hospital after suffering a seizure on Saturday night. reports Sabol is in stable condition and was awake and alert Monday after undergoing a battery of tests over the weekend.  Sabol was in town to accept the Lamar Hunt Award for Professional Football on behalf of NFL Films at the 101 Awards.

We last heard from Sabol in Dallas, where we learned that his father Ed would be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.   At the time, he talked about how he always made his films with the fans in mind.

A nation of football fans — not to mention the countless people in the NFL Sabol has touched — can join us in wishing Sabol a speedy recovery.

Will try to express this in a lot fewer words than is required. I love Steve Sabol and wish him 30 more great years he (and us) can enjoy sharing the NFL together. What a good guy Steve Sabol was, is and will always be.

Ed Sabol, Sam Spence, John Facenda, Steve Sabol, even the unknown cameramen ====> all = LEGENDS.

Mad respect, gratitude and admiration for enriching the lives of myself and so many more.

Just about anyone who has ever been a football fan should be wishing Steve Sabol a speedy recovery. The work he and his father Ed did beginning in the early 1960’s is a massive part of why the NFL is as big as it is today, and every football fan should appreciate all the work the Sabols have done over the years because of that.

NFL Films has been by far the best portrayal of the sport ever. The quality of the film, the narrators and every last detail has always been amazing. Steve has been at the epicenter of this for decades. Get well soon!

I don’t know what amazes me more. The fact that I have never seen anything close to 280 approvals or that 4 jerkoffs gave this comment a thumbs down. I am all for freedom of speech, but have some human decency.
