Folks are beginning to arrive at the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) in Washington, D.C. Tuesday morning for the latest round of mediated talks between the NFL and NFLPA.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the ownership side has called up Chiefs owner Clark Hunt from the practice squad for the festivities. Like Giants owner John Mara -- who was activated Monday -- Hunt’s family legacy is one of compromise and league-first thinking.

For the players side, Albert Breer of NFL Network reports that Ravens cornerback Domonique Foxworth, Colts center Jeff Saturday, Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch, retired player Sean Morey, and retired player Pete Kendall will all be in attendance.

For folks curious what actually happens in a day of mediated sessions -- where the two sides are apart a lot more than you’d imagine -- we’d recommend this column by Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times.
